Hi guys:

Need some advice!!

I got a welcome notice in February 5, 2007; however, I haven’t got my green card.

(cuz when I checked the online status, it said “the card was sent on February 20, 2007)

Then, I called the uscis, they said they already sent the card and haven’t received any returned letter from the post office! So now, I need to fill out the I-90 to get a new green card. The question is, “do I need to pay the fee or not?”

When I read the form, it seems I need to pay for it.
But when I check the website, it seems I don’t need to pay!!

So I’m wondering what am I going to do??

Thanks your help!!

(P.S. I haven’t moved since I came to US in January 2007)

If the card has been lost in the mail then yes you will need to pay again.... this is what happened to my Greencard and I wasted weeks sending the I-90 with no fee only to have it rejected as the fee was payable.... it took about 6 months to get the newcard so e-file the I-90 and then take the reciept to an infopass appointment and show them the reciept and ask for the I-551 stamp in your passport....

i had already got the stamp in my passport.

so i still need the infoopass appointment?

bty, what kind of information do i need to send with the I-90?

If you already have the stamp then no you dont need an infopass appointment.... if you file the I-90 online then you only need the A# .... E-Filing is quicker than mailing it...

It's really sad that they don't sent documents of this value express. I had the same thing with an RFE and they alsoblamed it on the mail. Well, they sent it in the wrong envelope to somebody else filing aswell.
Make an infopass appointment, stating that you didn't receiveit. Print the statement where it says it has been sent.
Here in Phoenix, they were very helpful after they figure d out what happened ( took them quite long) and tell them they should be more careful with documents you spent so much energy and money on.
I wouldn't want to pay the fee, since it's their mistake and they should sort that out with USPS.

Just my opinion.

I'm wondering if the same mailing errors will continue after the new round of immigration fees increase. dry.gif
