Full Version: Emailing Montreal?

Now that Montreal has received my returned Packet 3 I'm just wondering what advice you folks would give before I should contact them to ask about how long it will be before my interview... I'm not ''hard-pressed'' to email them right away, but I do want to know if and when I'll at least be put in line for an interview, even if it won't be for months yet!

I had no luck e-mailing Montreal so I can't really help there. We've discussed it over and over again though in Canada Discussion so there should be some oldie but goodie info around smile.gif You could do some searching if you have time and see what's worked for others.

I know that I always tried from a work e-mail account. I think others that tried from yahoo hotmail etc. had better luck. So that might be one thing I'd suggest.

There have been a couple of occasions where they neglected replying to my email
But when that happened I simply kept resending until they did reply. After the 2nd resend they usually did. Sometimes I'd receive a reply in 1 day others up to 5 days later

They will just tell you yes or no if your interview has been scheduled. They won't tell you how long before an interview unless there has been one scheduled. They have been telling me "should be soon" for a few months now and it's going on 6 months now.

It seems they do their scheduling in the middle of the month so I try to e-mail them the 3rd monday of the month and have always got a quick reply(within 1 or 2 days). Put your case number in the subject line and keep the body of the e-mail simple.

This is what I do

Case # MTLXXXX-XX-XXXX

Applicatant name: Last name, first name

Preference category - CR1 - Conditional Spouse of US Citizen

Please advise if/and when interview date has been rescheduled.

Thank-you
