My petitions haven't been touched in awhile. According to my timeline, the I-129F may be approved on May 30. A few weeks ago, it said May 20 and slipped out to June 2 before settling down on May 30.

For a long time, there wasn't enough data for the timeline to forecast approval of the I-130. Then the timeline forecaster forecasted May 19 for about 10 days until today. Today, the timeline says there's isn't enough data to forecast approval.

I wonder how the timeline forecaster works and how accurate it is. Anyone have ideas on how to test or assess its accuracy or its precision?

The times are predicted based on other members who have filed the same application as you at the same location (looks at people just approved in the near past and looks at how long it took them). As the processing time may vary sometimes the estimated time will change as well. Member data changes as people update their timelines so things change as well there too.

I find that the Statistics page is alot more accurate than the member projected timelines.

This site is also very good to look up how long it could take. http://fwaguy.250free.com/K-1VisaView.htm

i posted this elsewhere but relevant here:

re: AOS timelines : does anyone think that with all the CSC transferring the timelines here are skewed? i mean all it takes is people to fill in their timelines with their local office and getting an actual transfer to CSC which isnt really captured in the stats.

if someone is transferred to CSC then their local office has little to do with it, is there some way the stats could be split to include:

filed @ chicago lockbox----->MSC/NBC------>onto local office for interview-----approval date
................................|
.................................----->transfer to CSC---->approval date
