Hi!

Everyone is saying to celebrate but I'm too nervous to do so.

So this is what I'm sending my wife overseas since my K-3 was approved and is (allegedly) being shipped to Chennai, India. This is clearer than the guide is - can someone comment or disapprove?
  1. Copy of I-130 pkg
  2. Copy of K-3 pkg
  3. Copy of NOA2 for K-3
  4. Letter from NVC indicating pkg being sent to Chennai
  5. Completed I-864 Affidavit of Support with:
  6. Letter of employment indicating saraly
  7. Copy of latest federal tax returns
  8. Copy of four most recent paystubs
  9. Packet containing original documents including marriage certificate etc.

Cool?

Hi:

Regarding the affidavit of support, I am nout sure whether you need I-134 or I864. Mumbai consulate's K3 packet says I-134. I dont know if either of them are accepted. If you have already enquired please disregard this, And also, did you get the affidavit of support notarize??

Just don't forget to notorized your I-134. I sent the same things to my wife last week.

I have a question though: I have not filed tax return for 2006 yet. I filed an extension because I am waiting for my daughter's Consulate Report of Birth Abroad application to get approved (so that I have her SSN). So I just sent along with the I-134 my pay stubs, letter of employment, my 2006 W-2s. Is that enuf? Do I need to send a letter explaining why I do not have 2006 tax return?

Personally I would just include a letter stating the application for extension. But anything else that proves your income should (God-willing) suffice.

I DIDN'T GET MY 864 NOTARIZED!! IS THIS BAD???

hello,
I believe, you need I-134 for K3 visa. somebody else can comment on that if thats not right. and YES, I134/I-864 HAS to be notarized. hope this helps. goodluck!!

Okay well I goofed and now I have to not only send a notarized copy to my wife (beneficiary), but I also should be sending I-134 and not I-864 apparently. So I'll send this right away.

IS THERE ANY NEED to send original documents to her - marriage certificates etc.??
