We married in 01/2007 in China. I live in California so I sent the I-130 to the California service center in Lagune Niguel,
they received it 1/29/07. Received NOA 1 on 2/3/07.

Sent I-129F to Chicago as per the instructions on the I-129F form if filing for your spouse. If filing for finance mail to California, where I live.

Received NOA from Chicago on 2/26/07. Under case type it shows I-129F Petition for Finance(e)Spouse.

Received NOA from Chicago on 3/5/07. Under case type it shows I-129F Petition for Finance(E). Under notice type it states Trnasfer Notice. Below Notice Type is states the application was transferred to California for faster processing.

From what I have read Chicago should have processed the I-129F package and forward it to the National Benefits Center in Missouri.

Did they make a mistake and will this slow down the processing time. Has this happened to anyone before.

Thanks in advance for your reply

Did your case get forwarded directly from chicago to california?? All I129F applications which are mailed to chicago are forwarded to National benefits center in Missouri where the initial processing occurs. Then the application are forwarded to either California or Vermont depending upon where your I-130 was forwarded.

The transfer notice came from The National Benefits Center in Missouri. They received the package 2/14/07 and transferred it to California on 2/28/07. According to the visa journey K-3 Process Flowchart it should have been approved at the National Benefits Center in Missouri and then forwarded to the National Visa Center. Instead it looks like Missouri sent it to California to approve before it is sent on to the National Visa Center.

Thanks for your help.

your application is in the right track. All applications are transferred from Missouri to either California or Vermont where the final approval takes place and then forwarded to National visa center. My application was also sent in that way to California about a month ago. I am eagerly waiting for the approval. So, no need to worry.

A agree with adhi. Your case forwarding is taking the normal route.

This seems to follow the same pattern as my I-129F application. I applied to the CSC for the I-130, then to Chicago for the I-129F. I also received a "Transfer Notice", stating that my I-129F was sent to the CSC for processing.
Can so many people be wrong?!
