Hi guys, I am guessing that I will need an IMBRA Waiver. I am going to read more but what does it entail? Is there a special form that I send out or is this an RFE that will be sent to me?

Here was my previous timeline. The girl went back home before 90 days.

9/7/05 Mailed K1 packet to TSC
9/9/05 K1 packet arrives at TSC
9/15/05 NOA1 at CSC
9/17/05 NOA1 received via mail
9/30/05 touched
10/31/05 touched again
11/18/05 touched yet again!
11/29/05 RFE online from CSC
12/8/05 RFE arrives in mail
12/18/05 RFE received back at CSC
12/27/05 NOA2 via email!

because its been in the last 2 years , they will send you an intent to deny when you file if you do not clearly label your waiver request and even if you do they can still send you an RFE. I am waiting for my response after I send my waiver and I have about the same timeline as you

still no answer with the K!... I am going back overseas next week. I am thinking seriously about going ahead with the CR1. I am totally traumatised from this IMBRA thing...I am even not wanting to do a K3 because of all of this IMBRA garbage. So anyway... you will see me pop up with a new time line and a lawyer in JUNE. First I am not doing any more immigration stuff alone... this was a night mare.

2nd, I am really giving the cr 1 serious thought. I already lost 5 months of my life to get put through this and the uncetainty of a waiver and I have not seen one response from someone who has been trhough this so I think its big time unchartered territory. People are under the impression everyone is getting waivers and this simply is not true any longer. Not only are they not.. They have sped up NOID times. What a mess? My immigration attorney is telling me to just forget about the K1 since I have a chance to get back over there so soon. Its a huge trip....4 planes...just to get there....flying into a zone that is got a travel warning. If Damn immigration doesnt know I love this man. I dont know what else to prove it....

So I will let you know with what happens trying to get a marriage license over there.

Yes, it does get frustrating these days when all you want to do is be with the person you love. I can understand your frustration and your desire to do whatever you have to in order to be together. Keep me posted and I hope things go well for you.

I keep hearing about people spending 10 months, or two years in A/R. It gets a little disheartning for me too but I try to keep my hopes up but not get to disappointed if it does take a while. The worst part is not knowing and the difficulty in making plans. Right now we are talking about trying to live togehter in Barbados starting next month.

Yeah,,, welll I leave for ALGERIA on wednesday and I am super depressed about this K1 thing. I wish I would have just saved my money and waitied but I felt like I had to something in the 5 months we have been apart.So its off to TUNISIA to try to get married now

There ya go. Thats what ya gotta do. This IMBRA law is a major screw up by the US govt. It is hurting mostly good people. It is only a political feel good law. They are hurting honest good people to prevent only a very few bad apples from abusing the system. More and more the USA is turning into a controlling entity representaitve of communism where people are not allowed to pursue freedom and happiness.

I too will simply have to marry in the pHilippines if I get my waiver rejected. Its a sad sad day when the USA is becoming a abusive controlling government.

What I do not understand is why the US govt does not have to be accountable to us as far as time and working on stuffand promptly answering questions. They gave me till only May 8th to get information to them .I immediately dropped the paper back in the mail to them and still NOTHING. No answer. No reply. No explanation. No change in status. No acknowledgement. NOTHING. So now I am flying all around the world... having to spend THOUSANDS of more money a lawyer, new petitions and MORE LOST TIME only to go back through the agonizing wait time AGAIN only to be faced with a 50 50 time chance at the interview with someone who very welll have made up their mind as to whether to approve or deny us LONG BEFORE I GET THERE> I have never hated govt bureaucracy but I have a mouthful of anger now. I have no rights. No freedom to love as I want and things are supposedly free... things dont feel too free to me frankly. I m being held captive by the paperwork and if i leave to live with him , then I wont have the job to do his I 864. Its a mess
