hello everybody
I have just read the guide about DCF and I am thinking if I should ask them if they will do that favor to me, before sending I 130 packet.....?
I am Polish residing in Germany for 2 years now. My husband is stationed here in Air Base. They did my K1 visa here.
greetings

Hello Agnes2012,
Question, I do not understand, you had a k1 visa before? You did not use it?
On the other hand, yes, you can do a DCF in Frankfurt. If you want to finish faster, go with your husband and file in person.
Good luck with your process

So you guys didn't ask them first if they were going to do the case?
I will just send the package then (I don't want to drive there all the way to Frankfurt....I am six months pregnant and my husband would have to take a day off especially for this purpose).
We are not in a hurry that much. I would like to complete the process sometime in November or December this year and ask them to issue my visa next sommer. My Polish friend did like this -they offered themselves that they would issues her visa, when she would be sure taht she would use it the following six months.
We have to do things this way, because my husband is going to be deployed in January or February and he will come back a short time before we move to US.
greetings

Good deal than no need to ask them to send the papers in, just send them. As long as the USC is residing in Germany you are good to go. Good luck

Fax: 069-75352260
They also wrote back in the email that they think we are doing a K-1?? WTF?????????

Wacken,
The fax for IV section Frankfurt is 069-75352260, so is the correct number the one you have. Are you sure that the fax went out? It happened to me, I sent the fax and I got an error so I resent it.
K1????? What is wrong over there? You better clarify this with Frankfurt cause you do not want a delay in your process. Imagine a wrong visa issued to your husband
Try to call Visa Section 06975358200 and see what's wrong!
All the best,
Adriana
and did he mail the DS-230 part 1?

Jun 16 2007, 03:03 AM
hi
I have almost everything completed for I 130
I have a few last question, though and I would appreciate any help

on I 130 is the question "Have you ever filed a petition for this or any other alien before?", so they mean any petition, right?
well, my husband filed I 129 F for me for K1 visa and I put this as an answer...
does approval of I 130 expire? for I 129 F it stated on NOA 2: valid from 17/02/2006 to 17/06/2006, so 4 months, but as far as I remember, the consulate had the power to extend it....
did you guys attached any proof of residence in germany for a petitioner?
greetings
MaydayDas
Jun 16 2007, 09:22 AM
I do not know about expiration of the I-130 but the petition is processed in Germany, they have a USCIS Office in Frankfurt, it takes between 60-90 days to be processed and than it is sent to the Visa Section Unit "downstairs'. You will communicate the Visa Section later in the process (packet 3) the date you will prefer to have the interview. Pretty much the visa unit is very understanding and it will follow your wish

After you have the interview you will get the visa which has an expiration date: 6 months. So you have 6 months to activate it or else it will expire.
Send proof of residency, make copies of the SOFA stamp your husband has.
I wish you good luck!

You're welcome Agnes
Hello to all Frankfurt DCFilers ...what's new?
Wacken
Jun 18 2007, 08:04 AM
What is new is I can't trust my husband to do any of this crap right. I think he was faxing crap the wrong way. The number was right. Then they just told us to forget faxing and mailing, just scan it and attach it. Fine. Of course this has to be the time that the power supply blows up on my laptop and I can't check my husband's work before he emails it. Of course, he screwed it up. Didn't sign the bottom of the DS-230 like I told him to, didn't send the employment history attachment, and for whatever reason did not send page 2 of the checklist. WTF???????? AGGGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!1111!!!!!!!! Going to castrate him if he doesn't start paying attention. I mean, I wrote all of this out step by step what he should do. Why is this so hard for him?

Jun 18 2007, 02:39 PM
He he he a lot of stress for him, missing you, the baby etc .......
Wacken
Jun 21 2007, 07:43 AM
Well, it was more like he was overthinking crap. If he had just shut up and listened to what I was saying instead of questioning everything I was saying, it would have went a lot, lot faster and easier. Agh.
But that is over with.
The interview was scheduled today for July 2!

But then again why shouldn't we get good News my first marriage was a real marriage and I have tons of proof for that, we just didn't work out.

oh I'm getting insane, just received Mail from the Consulate about my daughters claim of US Citizenship through her Father (Deadbead) South Carolina is sooooo strickt we can't get his Birth Certificate which is needed for the process. Now the Konsul will try to get it if that wont work than they can't issue my daughter the Passport even so they know she has the birthright on it and all papers proof it :0(
then I would have to apply for a Visa for herGreat how are we supposed to do that? we already filed our immigration without her on it, does anybody know how to add a child after the papers are already turned in?

Thanks you guys!
My husband was so worked up and nervous. Then this morning he told me it was no big deal afterall. There weren't that many people at the embassy when he got there. Everything went smoothly. He said the woman at the interview window asked about me as in she had remembered me from all the e-mails.

She told him to expect the visa to arrive within 8 days and that was that. He is exhausted now as he was too nervous and excited and etc to sleep last night, so I will ask him some more questions about it later.
I love this forum soooooo much. Couldn't do it without you all.
I hope both you, Mammimaus, and Mephistobeth hear that your I-130s have been approved soon! Did you ever get the visa problem with your daughter figured out?

we are still working on my daughter. the Consul has now written a letter as far as I understood to the Bureau of Vital Statistics.
My daughters father has never done a thing for her so his reaction on this one really doesn't suprise me at all and if it shouldn't work out at all, I will sue him as soon as I am in the states

Wacken, stop celebrating

when your husband planning on moving to the States?
Wacken
Jul 4 2007, 06:35 AM
Haha, well, we don't know exactly. He still has to buy the ticket and we are still a little fuzzy on the exact dates. We think sometime in mid-late Sept when the ticket prices drop. Beyond the expense, there is just a lot of things he still needs to finish up before he leaves, though easier to do with all of the visa crap done and out of the way. I will let you all know when he has gotten his ticket.
