my son left in the philippines and right now we are planning to get him there but we don't know how to start, we don't know what type of visa we are going to use, and besides that i'm thinking if i petition my son, do the embassy need an affivadit of support from ME? or from my husband? or can we combine it, coz i dont have yet a good income right now that can really met the 125% above poverty if the embassy will just based on my income.
thanks!

For Affidavit of Support, you can combine it with your husband.
I assume that you are talking about bringing your son to U.S. for immigration.
If you don't have enough income for I-864,
you can use your husband income as supplement, and your husband needs to fill up I-864A, I believe.
That means your husband needs to have income sufficient to support you. your son, your husband himself.
