So as part of our I-129F petition, my fiancee needs to obtain certified police records about 3 DUIs.

She rang the local police records division and was told she'd need to get a subpoena from her lawyer

This seems a bit overkill, doesn't it? has anyone else had to do this? any idea how much its going to cost?

We have already applied for certified court records showing the dispositions, would they be enough?

I just did this. I had 3 dwai`s a lesser charge doesn`t change anything for your fiancee. She must go to the courthouse whenever it is in session or get a hold of the court clerk. She needs a CERTIFIED CERTIFICATE OF DISPOSITION. Basically says she was charged with xyz paid fines, and papers have an official stamp, or seal. It is not a big deal to get. Go to courts do not do anything with police agencies. If she does not remember the town where it happened check with motor vehicle department. Some of the towns destroy records after 10 years , and this happened to me, but they can write up something for you.
Just got approved for a k-1 through vermont in 22 days so I believe this is an issue blown out of proportion a bit. It costs nothing!!
