My wife, daughter and I arrived in Chicago friday morning. The woman in the back room was totally rude, did not look at our paperwork, and stamped the visa CR-1 instead of IR-1. As of our arrival date, we had been married 2 years and 2 months, 2 days. When I saw the stamp, I asked her about it, stating that we had been married more than 2 years. She said that since Rio wrote CR-1 as our visa type, she had to put CR-1 as well. I didnt argue with her anymore. When she was going to do my wife's fingerprints, she acted more like she was going to give her a rectal exam. Until this woman, everything had gone wonderfully. (Unfortunately I didnt get her name).

What do we do now? She didnt even explain how to remove conditions, and I never researched the I-751 since we should not have to do it. Has this happened to anyone else? Please help.

Thanks Visajourney!

Wait until you have the green-card to determine what to do next, if 2 year conditional one wait until 90 days before the expiration and then petition to remove the conditions. SEE: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;page=751guide

Sometimes USCIS will automatically issue the 10 year card without conditions because of the marriage length when entering the country.

koolaidman23,

If your wife receives a green card for a conditional LPR with a 2-year expiration submit a form I-90 requesting a corrected card due to clerical error.
