She was a orange capped conure. Thanks, eau .
Wow, I looked them up. They're beautiful birds! Did yours look like this?

Similar, but the pic you posted is a sun conure. The face looks a lot like her, though.

We are still trying to train our border collie to come when he runs away. Inside the house he is very biddable but once he gets a whiff of fresh air he's off. He was 2 years old when we got him and we have been able to get rid of some of his old "bad" habits. But the running away is still a big problem for us.

I used to compete at shows in obedience besides confirmation but it got to be too
time consuming.
As a trainer I had about 15 people all bringing in their wild and crazy dogs who pulled
them in all directions...it was as though they brought in their owners.
After the 10 week course all were able to sit stay oppsite their owners
off leash 10-15 ft. away, all sitting next to each other like ducks in a row.
It was neat to watch the progress of each team. Sometimes the dogs
"got it" but the owners were confused.

Thanks for the refreshments, KUO !!
Khurram, I have a panasonic upright with a by-pass motor. I use it at least 4 times a day because of all the pets. I invested about 120.00 and I intend for it to last a few years. You don't need one that can do everything including your laundry. It's a good machine for the price.

I know they're extremely overpriced (regular vacuums)... seems $300+ is the norm... glad mine is 10+ years old and still kicking (or sucking)...
Did anyone see that kid on Leno and the Today show a while back? He's like 10 years old and is a vacuum-servant..

He was really cute - well spoken for such a kid - he's been facinated with vacuums since he could walk.. takes them apart, works on them.. collects them.. He's written to every manufacturer ... His mom says he vacuums several times a day and she's not complaining...hah..hah..
