Did you go through the gas chamber in basic training in the USMC? Boy that sucked a big one!
Sure did, then again in the police academy

Getting pepper-sprayed was even worse. It lasted for about 30 minutes. It's best described as a ciggy being jammed in both eyes. But i heard getting tazed is worse.
it will definetly be a shocking experience, literally.

Since it is kind of on the topic:
What is the worst pain you have experienced so far?
I'll be back in a bit- my family wants McDonalds, I have to go get it.

Well aside from the pepper-spray, about 5 years ago i was in a bad fight while trying to make an arrest and was kicked in the groin so hard that I couldnt move are breathe for about 20 seconds.

I got one! When i was 19, I went home on leave before being transferred to Korea, and i was underage drinking at this party

, and the cops crashed it, so i ran out the back, and jumped over this fence. I slipped down into a ditch and impaled myself on one of those steel construction spikes. It went in about 3 inches into my armpit. I got up and kept running. I was so drunk, I barely felt it. I had to go to the ER, and i was there all night, but i didnt get arrested!

Well stacey we're waiting...
MissStacey
May 12 2007, 08:25 PM
Ouch and ouch!
I have been lucky that I have never seriously gotten injured- I broke an arm when I was 5 but don't really remember the pain. I got attacked by a swarm of wasps and don't remeber that either.
I had a few Gallbladder attacks that were incredibly painful though.

When I was a baby- I was in my walking chair and fell down a flight of stairs when my Aunt left the baby gate open.
And I found a pill in the shag carpet and ate it- I went into convulsions and had to be rushed to the hospital.
Yes Matt!! She is Super Hot!!

Mags, you have just as much of a right to come in here, talk condescengingly towards me and try to pick a fight, as I do to have this clip in my signature. I am totally against mistreatment of handicapped people. I dont percieve this as being harmful. Albiet how hurtful some of your accusations are, it is your right to say them, because this is a public forum. I would kindly ask though, if you would put future accusations against me into a PM.
Matt, nowhere in my posts have I tried to pick a fight. I am trying to behave cordially and civilly and I think I have achieved that. I am also not accusing you of anything either, I am merely trying to get my point across regarding people who are mentally and/or physically handicapped. Your video clip does nothing to help them, only continue to hinder the perception that people have towards those who are afflicted with such conditions.
im sorry but innaccurately bringing up the past, making outrageous allegations against me, and suggesting that i get pleasure from others pain, IS trying to pick a fight with me. I will reply no further about this matter in this thread. I dont want to turn this particular thread into a battle, so if you feel the need to get a last word in, please do so in PM, otherwise I will not respond. Thank you.
That video is very annoying and offensive maybe Captain Ewok would be kind enough to remove it for you.

County, but in Louisiana it's referred to as Parish

That was me too. I shot expert in the marines with the m-16 but never really shot a glock until the academy. It's not hard though, it's all the same elements-- breath control, trigger squeeze, etc.
It varies from state to state, but here we shoot from the 25, 15, 7, 4, and 2 yard line. You think 4 and 2, that has to be easy. But you have to shoot from the hip, after drawing from the holster. What i have problems with is shooting with my off hand from the 7 yard line. Meaning my left hand, without using my right at all.

Damn, they make you shoot with your off hand? crazy. They give you a polygraph too. I bet that was cool.

They give you a psychological test while getting hired on (in my department). Lira just THINKS that little interview was stressful. While I was getting grilled with questions, I remember thinking "Oh well, maybe I can drive a truck or something". When they called me three days later and said I was hired, i was like "really?"

I can only imagine.
You know i was planning on becoming a cop before i joined the military. I was going to a community college and trying to get my Associates in Criminal Justice. But i was taking this class, I dont remember the name, but it got into some really sick stuff, so i dropped out. I had like 30 credits towards a CJ degree.

It must be in your blood. I wanted to be a cop my whole life. In high school I went to the deputy Chief (now my sheriff) and told him that I wanted a job after graduation. He was the one who recommended the military.
Man the sights you see....it's unreal. About 6 years ago, around 4 in the morning my Lt drove up on a crash, i drove up behind him. This small pick up was wedged under the cargo trailor of an 18 wheeler that was making an illegal u-turn on the highway. My Lt said go look in the back of the truck, I bent down and shined my light to see a face looking back at me. Decapitation. My knees got weak as I was a rookie at the time.

Damn man that is crazzzy!!!!
I probably will be a cop when i get out. I like variety in my life. Routine repetitious work kills me. And i dont want to stay in the military, cuz i dont want to spend my life chasin camels around in Iraq.
So what kind of stuff did they ask on the polygraph?
~Chad~
May 12 2007, 10:13 PM
Of course they ask "have you ever did drugs" at first. Since I never have I thought "this will be a breeze". but then it got more and more complicated. They started asking scenario questions. "you and another officer were chasing a suspect and got seperated during the pursuit. After coming around a house or a building, the other officer has the suspect detained on the ground. The suspect yells 'he hit me! he hit me!' what would you do and how would you handle it?"
I was like "good Lord". You dont want to sound like you would automatically take the suspect's side, or the officer's side. Confused the crap out of me.
Matt85
May 12 2007, 10:24 PM
wow... the polygraph sounds like it would be the hardest part.
So have you seen Supertroopers? I love that movie. If the police force is anything like that, I think I would fit in just fine.
Omoba, I see you!

I didn't like the movie last night...The Departed, too much confusion or maybe
I am too dense to follow who is who.
I did like " The last king of Scottland"...I think I said that correctly .....about
Idi Amin.
I absoutely love Blood Diamonds. It is abut Sierra Leone my fiance's country
and of course seeing the city of Freetown where I was ....was a weird feeling.
The violence during the decade long war there was unthinkable.

I too enjoyed Blood Diamond, even though I am not a big Leo fan.
I thought The Departed was a great flick also, but i can understand where your coming from, it does get kinda hard to follow right towards the end.
