Hi All,

I had my interview and was approved on Thursday (19th April). Just before lunch today there was a knock at the door. It was the SMS Courier with my passport and the "DO NOT OPEN" envelope! YAY. That's just a shade over 48 hours.
My Dad was so cute. He took my passport with the very colorful visa in it right into his office and made a color copy, which my Mum put into a frame and handed it to me. Then we sat down to a lovely roast dinner. What a great week this has been!

My flights booked for 26th May. It would have been sooner, but I couldn't leave before celebrating my Mum's birthday (according to her!) and then the family is throwing a HUGE engagement party/family reunion the weekend of 18-20 May. I guess it's a good thing I waited to book my tickets until I actually had the visa in hand. It would be a shame to miss a leaving do with my whole extended family in attendance! LOL

Yeah - it makes sense for you to wait until after your family's shindig. Did you get a good deal on airfare?

We got the letter literally as we were stepping out the door tonight for Chas to go to work. So we've really not had time to get our heads around when he might fly over. My guess is late June, but that's really just a guess at this point.

And yes - we'll make our concert with time to spare! (Its August 12th.) RUSH here we come!!

Yes, London seems to be good this week ... my husband had his interview on Wed, April 18 and the courier delivered at 7 am Sat., April 21. My husband is coming home on Tuesday (24th) ... getting very excited.

Congrats!! Sure hope that London keeps this speed up for the next few months at least!
