Looks like I will be moving soon and have just filed my EAD and AOS. I know that calling the misinformation line to change my address is close to useless so I'll probably do it online after I get my NOAs for both EAD and AOS.

Can I expect that changing my address online will be fine and I won't get any USCIS mail at my old address?

I know my husband will also have to file an I-865 sponsor change of address. Too bad he can't do that online as well.

I should note, we're just moving within the same city.

We moved during our AOS processing time as well.
I sent off the form via mail 1 week before I moved out of the old apartment and 1 week later I changed my adress online.
1 week after I got to the new house I received a confirmation letter that they received the change of adress.
Do not even try to call USCIS if they have your new adress on file because they have no clue. They can only tell you that it will take up to 45 days for them to enter the new adress to the system.

Good luck!!!

Thanks! We'll be filing the sponsor's change of address by snail mail as soon as we know where we're going to live next and will also do my (I'm the foreign spouse) change of address online at the same time.

It takes about a month to process. My NOA2 is still with them because they process these things very slowly. I need to pay $200 to get a new one. What a waste.

We filed AR-11(Change of Address) online. It's not instantaneous at all. You have to wait 45 days to confirm with USCIS if they indeed change your address on file.

Usually, it takes about a month but from experience, after my wife had her biometrics, I went online to change our address. In less than two weeks, my wife received her green card at our new address!

Well I just filed my AR-11 online and put in my pending petitions. Also mailing off the I-865 for my husband (he's my sponsor). Let's hope nothing gets screwed up!

In case anyone is reading this, here's an update.

I filed my AR-11 online on May 17, 2007 and mailed in the I-865 on May 18, 2007.

I got confirmation on the I-865 around May 23, 2007 by mail. My confirmation for change of address on my EAD on May 29, 2007. Change of address for my AOS was never received though both cases touched on the same day. Today I received my AOS interview letter at the correct address.

At my AOS interview I will also be confirming that they have this current address on file.
