I filed the K3 on January and revceived my NOA2 this month (4/10) but when I called NVC they said they did not receive it from CSC yet. Is this the same with the other NOA2 approvals from this month?

so...we're not the only ones after all? Yes, we too are wondering what has happened to our file. Maybe they are grouping everyone's together for this Tuesday. (Fingers crossed). Our petition was approved on April 5th b.t.w.

On your NOA2, did it say that they "sent the original petition to the NVC"?

My NOA2 says this, but it looks like a form letter. After reading this thread, I wonder if "sent" really means sent?

My letter also said "sent to NVC"; I beleive its just a standard letter format though.

Yes it did and i am pretty sure you are right it's a form letter however it says that it says something about contacting them if you don't hear anything in four weeks and for me tomorrow is four weeks so i guess i will start ringing them tomorrow to talk to a live person. anyone know what happens if they can't find your petition do we have to start over?

my 1-29f was approved on 04/11 but on the 19th, it checked online and it said that it was transfer to CSC. I called USCIS and he told me that he thinks that it's still approved but it was transfered to CSC. I also called NVC today and they said they haven't received mine. I also want to mention that they messed up my address when they got the petition so i've not received my approval notice and they said i have to wait unitl it comes back to them as underliverable and then they'll mail it to me.
what you guys think of my situation

We are in the same boat. First wait for Noa1, then Noa2, and now transfer to NVC, and then transfer to consulate, and then..................... the list goes on. This whole process is about waiting and worrying.. Hope all goes well. My Noa2 was on April 17 let see how long before it's transferred to NVC.

Im in same boat, I got NOA2 on 4/5. NVC says they have no record. Also if you check Immigration timeslines, no one after 4/1 has got NVC. But if you look before that, it generally took 4-8 days. If someone can get some answers I would really like to know whats going on.

here is a vital tip i learned over the last week relevant to k-1's. i received my noa2 on 27 march and couldn't get any record of my petition at the nvc through the automated system. so i spoke to a live person and she was very nice told me that they received it on 18 april and forwarded on 20 april. she also said that typically the k-1's do not stay there very long so they rarely put them into the system. in short i highly recommend chatting up a live person. btw the wait time was not terrible only 2mins or so.

Thanks Agm for putting the list together. I am sure we all thought after NOA2 the wait would not be too bad and things would go much faster. If it is going to take 3-4 weeks to get the paper work transferred to NVC, God knows when our spouse's will get the visa. This stuff is crazy.

oops!!! i thought i updated all the threads i posted in...my petition was received at the NVC on 18 April and sent to the embassy in bangkok on 20 April!! so hopefully in a week or so we'll have packet 3 in hand! btw when i called them and used the automated system on the 20th it said no record so i called and spoke to a live person who told me that k-1 visas rarely get "entered into the system" since they do not stay in the nvc for long. so try speaking to a live person. good luck everyone!!!!

I received my NOA2 on April 5, 2007 and have been waiting for my NVC approval. I called them and after about 4 attempts I finally got through. They said I was in the system. They were administratively processing my file.

I wrote them at the e-mail address and got basically the same response, but I also got my NVC number. The party line at the bottom of the e-mail goes like this.

"As part of the aftermath of the events of September 11, 2001, there areadditional security check requirements for visa applicants. While it isnot possible to predict when the clearances for this case will befinished by all involved Washington agencies, please be assured that assoon as the results are received, the case file will be forwarded to the appropriate US Embassy or Consulate General."

HELLO EVERYONE!!! we received our NOA2 on 4/20/07 and no news yet about receiving by NVC... hopefully next week we will receive notice from NVC,,,, i guess, this is just the normal process for January filers....

Just talked to one of my friend. He called NVC today and they received his paper work last Wednesday and have already mailed to embassy in India. His K3 was approved on April 11th. I just checked my status and they still don't have anything and I was approved on April 12th. Don't know whats going on.

Still waiting no luck so far.....

The number for the NATIONAL VISA CENTER is 603 334 0700. The email is nvcinquiry@state.gov. Email is probably the best option. Wait time is very long when calling. However there's an automated line where you can enter your case number. Of course - as all of us know - they have "no record" of our case number. They do take calls up 8am to midnight. The best time to call is 8am (obviously).

My approval was 5th April (via email), but no word yet on where the package is or what these inefficient clowns are doing. Will keep you posted.
