Well it's been tough here in NY finding aa job. My wife got me a job for the company she works for as holiday staff but then my employment auth expired (I-94) at the end of December. My EAD finally arrived at the end of January so i asked for my job back. They would only take me back short term because they have a policy against hiring family members of current staff. They made an exception but only until the end of May.

Today, after almost 3 months of searching, I got a job. we have been getting nervous as I only had 6 weeks left before I wpould be out of work again. Its a temp to perm position that I got through an employment agency so i will be on a pitiful $9 per hour for the first 3 months, but hey its better than nothing.

Congratulations!!!!!! Hey I had a really hard time about the lack of pay here, it is hard to get that first job...however I took a lower paying job and 6 mths later got a job with $2.50 more plus paying $500 less in medical insurance.....so look at is as a "transitionary" job for now...and hey we all need the $$$$$ to pay for immigration and the endless EAD's we have to get when in namecheck prison smile.gif
