Is it wrong of me wishing there weren't so many of you clogging up my paperwork at CSC? innocent.gif haha.. just kidding.... sort of.. well i am new.. My fiance and I actually met in person... i am not big into internet dating.. but i have seen it work well for others! We met on a missions trip, and have been corresponding ever since... it was three years before i finally saw him again in February, and now I am kicking myself for waiting so long to file this... I would have been a month away from an NOA2 perhaps by now.... oh well.. it's all in God's timing anyways, and not the governments.. no matter what they think or tell us.... anyways... this site has already helped me be prepared and its nice to see others going through the same process and who have gone through and come out on the other side successfully. I pray our story will be one of those beacons of hope to others....

Welcome welcome. I am quite enjoying reading everyone's stories. It helps me not be sad about being 5000 miles away from my sweetie!

Best of luck to you. Let me say, though, that I wouldn't put too much faith that the petition is in God's hands because if you think that, you could end up getting very annoyed with God. God didn't create governments and bureaucracy; man did! Glad we can all share our experiences here and help each other through it. Let me ask--where is your fiance from in Cameroon? What is his native language? I worked with a Cameroonian lady for some time in Columbus, OH, and she taught me a bit about her native language--Bakweri (or Mokpe), which is a sister language to Douala.

Thanks for your thoughts... I just have faith in God, specifically, Jesus Christ, who is bigger than the government and bureaucracy.. I know that may not be very popular on these threads, smile.gif but I know that He is not going to put us through more than we can bare... we trust Him smile.gif If God wanted to, He could put our petition through in record time... even at CSC smile.gif hahaha...

In other news smile.gif.... Magnus is from Bamenda, an english speaking region in the NorthWest Province. His native language is moghamo. He is amazing to me.. Speaks english, french, german, pidgin, and a whole slew of african dialects. Me... barely have english down.. smile.gif the language that i loved hearing the most when i was there was pidgin, a slang english.. they are surprised when whites can understand it smile.gif i could understand it, but not speak it yet.

Hmm...I've seen an article on Moghamo. I must have it around here somewhere...Cool, isn't multilingualism great? One of Africa's richest resources...

Welcome to VJ!!! I enjoyed reading your story and it is encouraging to see the faith you have. I am one who has seen that God is bigger than anything and all is in His hands. If He wants it done faster than it will happen and if not... then this is a great experience for you both and is a time to learn and grow both as individuals and as a couple. As you said you will be able to handle whatever comes your way and moreso because you trust and love the Lord. So I want to wish you God's blessings and pray that the journey is joyous for you both... even as you are far apart. Oh and I know what you mean about wishing you filed sooner, we waited almost 4 years since meeting to actually file... but as you said all is in God's hands, so I would not change things because it has made us who we are in our relationship today. Once again welcome!!!
