I know some one here before posted the phone on where to call to see if the checks have been completed. Does any one have that phone number?

Is there an average as to how long these security checks take? Are they started before the case is sent to the consulate?

they start AFTER case sent to consulate and AFTER the interview (approved interview that is)
I don't think there is an accurate average.... I would say 3 months is an average, when you call they say 2-3 months although could take up to 6 months

thank you every one. i dont have a clue about how long these checks take. all i know is that im stuck in uscis and in trying to turn over ever corner ans stone to get us moving along. wish me luck every one.

so in my case for example that im stuck in USCIS and i have a letter from my senator that he recived form department of home land security saying that we are undergoing checks.....is it ok for me to call even though we have not been even past USCIS?

If anyone is currently going thru I-140 eb3 category thru islamabad, I would appreciate any info in this matter.

Anyone know how long sec checks are taking these days. Also, as I am in US, is it too late to switch to i-485. Biggest mistake not to do that and go for premium 1-140 processing.

I tried calling the embassy but no response. Also, sent email 3 times and no response. Anyone know how I can get hold of them.

Also, how does everyone know when Islamabad recd the papers and when they send out the packet.
