Sounds like our case could easily get to Casa this week. good.gif Normally I would guess the packet would be sent to my fiance in about a week, and maybe it would take a week or two to get to him. Now I don't know.

Waiting for each step in the visa process to pass is one thing. Those recent incidents in Casa have me really concerned. It is a slight roadblock that came up out of no where. I expected to wait, but I wasn't expecting the consulate to close. Even though it is temporary.

I'm not quite clear on if anyone is working there right now or not. Didn't I hear some Casa interviews were canceled for another time? Or was that because of some other reason? At one point it sounded like the consulate is only closed to the public but the people who work there still go in to get things done. But then I read other news articles, and it sounds like it is closed for all business right now. So which is it?

Maybe I'm being too dramatic. I know one of my sisters can make anything a drama. Lately I've begun to wonder if that is something I inherited, too. unsure.gif But not as strongly because I'm quieter and more private.

yah your guess seems about right. my fiance got his packet about a week or so after the consulate said they mailed it out and he even LIVES in casablanca!

as far as it being closed, i think its closed. period. someone else may have the full answer on that.

My brother-in-law was scheduled for a tourist visa interview on 4/11. That was the day after the first incident, and the consulate emailed us that day to postpone his interview until yesterday 4/16. He went to the interview yesterday anyway, even though we thought it would be closed and said that nobody was there to tell him anything. We still have not received an email with a new date. So from what I can gather, nothing is going on there at the moment.
