Hello All:

My wife and I have a serious problem and need some guidance on how to solve it. We were recently married and have filed a K-3/K-4 for her and her daughter.

Problem - her ex is a real sob and a trouble maker. He seems to delight in causing trouble for her and upsetting her. He is also an influential businessman in his community. He will not cooperate with her - and when she and her daughter were in USA - he got a stop order placed in the passport system so the daughter cannot exit Russia. He still thinks they are in USA. They have been back in Russia for 1 year.

My wife had to go back to Moscow Russia - and is scared to death of the ex and the trouble he might cause. She has sole custody - but she's scared to death of court - she fears the ex will bribe everybody and it could happen if the court hearing is in his local town. She also fears that he will subpoena a US immigration official into court and cause her never to be able to come to the USA.

I am trying to find a good attorney in Moscow - are there any womens groups or other places we can go to find help on this ??? Can anybody offer us any advice or suggestions ??? Has anybody else succesfully handled a similar situation ??? Im sure this has to be a common problem with all the restrictions on children. Thank you for your advice.
