Does anybody know if it is normal to be placed on AP without any written notice??? My husband was verbally told that our case was placed on AP when his passport was returned to him a few days after the interview.
We have been on AP for 4 months now. I don't have to tell you that it's a very frustrating process especially when you have to deal with an Embassy that doesn't give you any information or updates no matter how many times you call or email the request...
yeah,, we were recently placed back on AP. we received no letter. I found out because I called the DOS.
what I recommend is contact your congressman. also call DOS for updates.
Thanks for the well wishes. I did contact DOS and was told that the Embassy has our petition on AP and could make a decision today if the CO felt she had enough information which I don't understand. A CO should be able to make a decision with all the PCCs and other documentation they were given. I feel as though we lose our rights when the petition gets to the Embassy level. When I contacted my Congressional Rep, I was told that everyone is supposed to get something in writing. I'll let you know if our Congressional Rep was able to help us.
Best of luck to those on AP...
