Guys, could you please clear a little confusion I have about I-134 form. Does my fiance have to mail it to me by the time I get package 3, or do I have to have it just by the time of the interview?

yes mam
just by the interview you will need to have it
but it takes some time to collect all the stuff for the I-134
so the earler you can start, the better you are

It’s only needed for the interview but it takes time to gather everything (bank letter/employer letter), as Raspect pointed out. General rule of thumb is start gathering what you need after the NOA2.

Thank you very much for your answers. So if my fiance gets it now I assume it won't it be too "old" at the time of the interview, right? Does it matter if something changes by the time of the interview, like if he sells his house, or get a new job, or move to a different state?

The reason to get it only after NOA2 or after the Consulate receives your case is because it DOES matter if he has a different address or sells his house or gets a different job, etc. The information on the application will change (like he would write a different address on the I134, a different employer would write the letter, etc.). Hopefully you will get the NOA2 within a month or two, and your interview might be scheduled a month or two after that. But any delay could happen, so best not to rush the interview preparations till after NOA2.

(Just my opinion...

I don't know if this also applies to the candian embassy - check on their website, but for the UK embassy, provided nothing has changed (like ELW) stated, its valid for a year.
Thank that helps.

I was under the impression that the Affidavit of Support had to be turned in with all the paperwork so you could get your appointment time for your interview?
