Hello. My fiance and I are getting a bit concerned about me entering the states 3 months after my visa was granted. He will come to my country to get me and that makes me feel better, but i was wondering if someone had gone through something similar. Thanks in advance.

The K-1 Visa is valid for 6 months from the date of issuance. You have up to that amount of time to enter the U.S. without any worries or problems.

You must then marry 90 days after the entry date into the U.S.

We thought we'd get the visa this month, so, i signed up to finish work on late march, then i had family issues and fiance had problems with a bad investment, therefore we decided to wait for a couple of months till our situations were better.

smile.gif Anastasia, I believe that Yodrak was just asking you why you were concerned about entering 3 months after visa issuance. yes.gif

You have absolutely no cause to be worried or concerned, as rayma said, you have 6 months in which to use the visa after you get it.
No worries! good.gif

As she said, again, you must simply get married within 90 days of entering the US.

Good Luck!

I moved to the US 5 1/2 months after receiving my visa so there was only 15 days left on it..... everything was fine, nothing was even mentioned with regards to it when I went through my POE.

Ditto. I entered the U.S. two days before my visa was set to expire. It was not even commented on.
