This may seem slightly off topic. My friend and I were debating whether a medical exam was necessary for ALL types of visas (whether family, work, student, other, etc) required a medical exam plus or minus interview for the US. I originally thought that some visas usually require interviews (not all, perhaps mostly the marriage ones), and most family visas (marriage too) require a medical exam. However, I am unsure if the other visas like student/work required a medical exam for entry into the US? I would assume that ANYONE entering the US for ANY reason will have to undergo some sort of medical examination for obvious purposes, but I could be wrong... Thanks.

The vast majority of people traveling to the US do not undergo a medical.
It would only be in certain limited circumstances usually relating to immigration.
