Hi everyone ;

i am from the Philippines and im on K-1 visa i wonder if I have to present my child's birth certificate to the pre-screener and to the consul? my son is 6 years old and he's not going to come with me until after 5 years maybe, because of a few reasons but he's on my fiance's petition; and if i have to bring some of his papers what are those.. like birth certificate, baptismal, anything else??

thanks a lot

It is advisable to bring your child's BC on your interview even if the child will not go with you at this time. I know one who was put on AR because she did not bring her son's BC. She said to the Consul, son will not be going (and raised more questions), she was asked to submit additional documents. And since he is also included in your fiance's petition, much more reason that you have to bring your son's documents (BC-NSO).

Good luck!
