Ok
I am sure you all know this, however I am still figuring it out. We go to the (he goes) to his interview in Germany. We assume he will need a 601 waiver and have it prepared, we hand it in if asked, they then send it to ROME to be processed.

Hmmm I know we cant submit early, but has anyone ever called Frankfurt to ask this question? In 2 more hours they are open...but then again they should be open when I wake up too.

Are you asking if you can submit your waiver before the interview? The answer is no because the CO first has to determine that the beneficiary is eligible for a waiver (or even needs one). Once that is determined, fingerprints need to be done and then the waiver can be submitted.

Also, Frankfurt adjudicates their own waivers, they don't send it to Rome. They are the quickest and probably most fair as well. Put together a well documented package with your 601 and you will probably get approved in about 4 weeks.

Good luck.

I really hope you are right. If So, YOU will be named God of the week at my house. We will buy a garden gnome and name him BlueBlue. We won't even let the cat..well you know...

Thanks, that actually made me feel a bit better. Funny, someone can say something negative to you, or positive to you, and your heart jumps and falls with each.

I will be happy when this is over and I am either with my SO here. Or, I am making applications to work in Europe somewhere.

How do you know they will send it to Rom and dont keep it in Germany. Does it mean all 601 filed in Frankfurt going to Rom.
TracyTN
As blueblue said, it WON'T be transferred to Rome (Rom).
