HELLO ALL,
I was just wondering if anyone out here has applied for Citizenship at Nebraska. If You can share the timeline that you have experienced ,I would appretiate it.I will be eligible to apply in Nov 2007,so just wanted to guesstimate the time it will take for me .
Thanks

Kishore,

It took me about 15 months from start to end.

Thanks

4 months for me from the time I sent off my N-400 to the time I took my oath...

My sister is going through it right now and I started a thread for people to see how the process will be like. She's going through the Nebraska Service Center by the way.

Actually the NSC has nothing to do with Citizenship.. it's really more of a holding place for your DO... where they cash your check, input your data and hold onto your A file until the DO wants to hold your interview...

It's your specific DO that runs the timing of when your Citizenship case will be heard...

Thank you for supplying the correct answer, zyggy!

Anyone who wants to know *about* how long their own N-400 case should watch the processing times *over a period of time* for their own Local Office.
All offices have a goal of six months from application to interview.

I have just sent in the application today. Zyggy is right, we have to check the timeline with our local office but even then it's accurate either. My local office is Seattle, they says they are working on the cases that has been recieved in August 2006, but I saw one Seattlite who sent in her application in October 2006 and got her citizenship in January. So, I think I'm pretty lucky that I could be a citizen in 4 months. jest.gif or at least I wish.
