Click to view attachment - That is me over the weekend - who cares about Easter!

Good Morning all from sunny but cold NY...I can't take the cold weather anymore...When the spring is coming? Any ideas? Also so glad that Easter is behind us...I just not much of a holiday person...Anyway, things are good here and hope that everyone has a good Monday.

I"m thinking spring is AWOL...we had 3 beautiful days followed by a deluge of rain for Easter and now a minor windstorm. oh boy blink.gif
My family and a good friend came for easter dinner. Dad did not make as much macaroni and cheese as he ususally does. My son in law went for 4 servings (he's one of those that can eat the farm and not gain an ounce mad.gif ) and nearly started a riot with my friend, whom I friendly fight with over the mac and cheese..it's an annual event at my house. Omar got his first taste of an american hoiday meal. He enjoyed it. He made mint tea to go with the dessert. Over all a good day.
Now back to work...ugh crying.gif I"m too tired from the weekend to work on accounts.

Today is Sharm El-Naseem. Had a fun day yesterday coloring eggs, watching movies and playing with the kids. Today work as usual and hardly time to take a breath.

What is that? That's prolly why Usama asked me if I had today off from work.

Our I130 just got approved!!! kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif

I'm dyin' over here 'cause Usama's sleeping and no one in my family really gives a ###### so you're the first people to find out!! hahahahaha

I'm hoping the I129F is not too far behind since that's the one I want.

i dunno? unsure.gif

Reading in the K-3 forum seems like the last few peeps have had their I130's approved but not the I129F's. I'd rather go the K-3 route but if the NOA2 doesn't mentioning paying that extra fee to transfer the I130 to NVC then I'll go with the I130.

Sham (not sharm) el Naseem is a feast day going back to pharaonic times. It's celebrated on the first Monday in April.

I know a guy here that was born in Lebanon and his name is Ramzi. Do you think he's muslim? Is Ramzi a muslim name?

I shall go home and punch my hubby cuz that's what he calls it. But then he IS a giant dork. His temp EAD expired so no more jobby poo for him until the official EAD arrives. He is NOT happy even though they said they will gladly rehire him when he gets all legal again. Blah. I'm considering rolling him in duct tape and keeping him in the closet until it comes. He can whine to the shoes about being "useless, not a man, blah blah blah" for awhile. I know I know... I sound so completely NOT understanding, but believe me when you listen to it enough the duct tape things becomes quite a lucious fantasy.

Oh I bit the bullet and got the Rosetta Stone cd on how to speak arabic. OMG I"m addicted to it!!! It's wicked fun!!! So far if I hear the word I can tell what it is, but not the other way around. I can now pick out a horse from a dog, a girl from a boy, a car from an airplane, jumping from swimming, etc. kicking.gif

Ahlan wa sahlan means welcome. In Egyptian colloquial, izzayek? or inta amaleh ey? means how are you? How are you in traditional Arabic would be, keif halek? or keif halish? for a woman.

It's defintely more Lebanonese, some times in Egypt. Hard to say it is a Muslim name or not. It's not a traditionally arabic classical name.

ty for clarifying that. the person that told me the phrase (and what it supposedly meant) was not an arabic speaker. good.gif
