Hi everyone. I just have a bunch of questions pertaining to the I-134 form. I am in the process of sending the final paperwork to my fiancee for her upcoming interview. However, I am at a total loss on really how to fill out the I-134 since I have so many questions.

1. I work part-time and also a student, so I don’t meet the income financially. I wanted to have my parents co-sponsor, now would they both be filing another I-134 form (mother and father each fills out a form?) or should I just pick one?
2. Would there be any changes to the I-134 form that they fill? Both my parents and I are living in the same house (one I applied for I-129F with).
3. The co-sponsor (parent[s])and I must present the evidence associated with the I-134 form too, yes? So they’ll also be presenting the: letter from employer, tax records (W2/1040), bank statements, pay stubs, etc…
4. I was reading somewhere for the interview preparation, that both me (sponsor) and a co-sponsor (parent) will need 2 original signed I-134 forms? (Sign 2 times)? Or does it mean we just need a copy, so they could take the original (and thus we keep the copy)?

I think that’s it so far. As you can see, I’ll probably have more questions later on. I’m just in a hurry because of the unexpected quick (should be a good thing! ) interview date of my fiancee. Thanks!

1. You can choose whoever has the bigger income and can meet the 125% poverty guidelines... and will need to fill up a separate I-134 and have it notarized.

2. It is the same I-134 form that you will fill up and have it notarized.

3. Correct...

4. I think one copy from the petitioner and one from the co-sponsor will be fine... but just to make sure, in case of emergencies, 2 copies each will do...

And then again, someone kindly correct me if I'm wrong and giving out wrong information...

Ahh, thank you very much Mae. I just have some more Q's now, hehe.

I will be choosing my father as my co-sponsor. For his I-134, on question 8 where it asks if the following persons are "dependent upon support" ... would I ultimately put my name there? I am a little confused on this question. I currently live in the same house with my father (parents), but I work too. However I only work part-time and thus I need him to be my co-sponsor. Or do I just write NONE?

And for #11, I can also put "N/A (K1 visa process for permanent residence)" too, yes?
