Dear All,

Greetings from Yemen.

Thank you very much for the invaluable information you are posting here. It is a real source of information for me.

Currently, me and my wife are residing In YEMEN (I am for work as it is also my home country and my wife goes to university here). We married back in 2005 in the states while I was on a j-1 visa, then I returned to Yemen to do my two years home residency requirement.
Now, we would like to file the I-130 form, but we have no idea where to file? My wife goes occasionaly to the tates and she is not staying in Pennsylvania long enough so that she can file for me at the Vermont Center. She is residing with me in Yemen and we would like to file from here using our address in Yemen. Is that possible?

Thank you very much in advance for your help

The info on their website is not current, but it is possible for US citizens who reside abroad to file their peition abroad as well. Normally, this is done at the US Embassy in the country where you reside. The US citizen must have been a legal resident there for 6+ months to qualify to file.

You can read more about it here (while some of this info is a little dated, if your wife is a resident overseas, the changes don't affect her): http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...om&page=dcf
