hi everyone ,., i am a filipina and just got married with an american last february 2007. We want to apply the K-3 Visa so that we can be together in the US. the problem is i am filling up the form G-325A and it is asking for File number. Where will i find or get it? thanks in advance

If you haven't filed for your K-3 yet, you don't have a file number. That will be assigned upon your fiance receiving the NOA-1 (Notice of Action) after the first submission of documents is accepted. If you don't have one, write "NONE".

Just write NONE there. For K3 visa. you need to file I-130 and G-325A first. After you got an approval. then that's the time you will file for K3 (I-129F). If you have any question. Feel free to post a topic here.

Arggghh. You do not wait for "approval". At most you wait for the NOA1 and send a copy as proof you filed an I-130. Recently some have filed with less proof than a copy of NOA1. They've been successful sending both petitions the same day. The I-129F instructions for K3 spouse say "proof of filing I-130". They do not say send "copy of NOA2" even though this has long been recognized as the conventional wisdom.

"Approval" is NOA2 and could be several months later. Waiting that long would defeat the purpose of petitioning for K3, IMO.
