Hi all,
My father-in-law, a permanent resident, filed a petition for unmarried daughter over 21 last April or so. She's now married (to me) and I've filed an I-130 and I-129F. Should my father-in-law withdraw his petition now that she's married? Will this cause problems in my petition? I called USCIS and they told me you can't have two petitions for the same person. Please help!

Actually you can have more than one petition, as a PR he can not sponsor a married daughter so his petition lapsed.
