I would suggest you email NVC if calling them won't do the trick. I didn't have any luck calling them as well so what I did is daily email inquiry. It took quite some days before they replied, I think around 5 days and when they did, they informed me that our case has been forwarded here in Manila consulate and they also gave me my MNL case number.

Hmm PW, they sell the whole fish and prawns here, head and all. I dont really like the fish head to much, but it is eaten by alot of people here. But the prefered way to eat fish, is raw. I am curious on how all of the filipinas are doing in the mainland. I fell kinda bad that my fiance will come here and feel like she never left today. In fact today at the mall the food court was 90% Filipino today. Yeah it looked like the mall in Manila.

Which mall? Ala Moana Center? Pearlridge Mall? Windward Mall? Kahala Mall? Fort St. Mall? Pretty much every where you go, you will see alot of Filipinos. 
Well I just got off the phone with my Sweetheart Mirasol. Her medical exam is done for the first day and it's only about 4pm there now. She said it went okay, but that they don't really know anything in the results until tomorrow. Of course she was scheduled in the afternoon batch to come back for vaccinations and results instead of the morning batch. 
As my honey would say, "NGEK!" You mean I gotta wait 24 hours on pins and needles to hear if she has passed? 
Why can't they just give you a hint as you go along that you passed this portion and that portion as its completed. Nope...you gotta hold those knots in your stomach for a whole nother day!!!
Sorry...I told you I would be a basket case by now. Does anyone know if they wait till the results day to tell you if there is a disqualifying issue or problem or do they just tell you as soon as its discovered in the medical? The waiting is gonna kill me!

)hey scott, i just finished my worrying also. my wife got her vaccination yesterday afternoon. yes ther told her that she passed. the best part, all the girls there asked where she got the printed direction about the st. lukes procedures?
i had her print the ones under the sheriffs name. said that they were very helpful, but i dont think that she let on about where she got them. just told the girls that her husband was very smart. ha! thx everyone. (our little secret) Jeff

Have you tried barbequed chicken feet (fondly called Adidas), and barbequed chicken intestines (called IUD). Exotic food with American-sounding names. Careful what you order in the restaurants here next time.
I've always wondered why the fishes and prawns in the US were headless. Can someone please explain?

And NO, I have not tried any such things (adidas, iud) as I am a vegetarian, I will on occasion eat a little fish but when it comes to the head, my policy is "just say NO!"
It really does not bother me, I do understand it is simply a cultural difference. Watching her eat a fishes butt with its head inside would still be a tiny price to pay for the incomparable happiness she has brought.
Don't tell her, but for her I would give a hungry alligator a root canal with a paperclip!

Stop worrying, Worry Wart! We would know if there was problem with the medical on the first day. St. Lukes would usually advise a client on Day 1 to come back some other dates for sputum test, or "we cannot give you vaccination", 'more tests need to be done" etc.. That's your hint that Houston has a problem. If not, then she's okay.

We would know if there was problem with the medical on the first day. Hi everyone!! Sorry for the late post! We had our interview last Monday and the consul said that we are good...I'm assuming that we were APPROVED 
..They asked us to go to the releasing window and paid for Delbros.No documents were returned to us so it kinda made me worried a bit..Now, 3 days later and still no update about our VISA..I'm starting to panic now..after alot of failed calls to US embassy today,my fiance and I decided to stop by the embassy to see what's going on but we still didn't got a clear update about our case.they told us to wait till next week and give them a call back again.I'm hoping that we're not gonna be on AR coz I would really love to fly out with my Honey back to US in less than 2 weeks..

It seems logical anyway that they would not have you come back for vaccines if you had a problem discovered before that. (Then again...since when is anything in this process logical...hehehe) I guess I just get myself all worked up because this and the interview are all that is keeping me from the woman I love so very much. I will just keep praying that everything will be fine and finished tomorrow, but with your information I will breathe a little easier.

Well Kauai, Hawaii is about 35% to 40% percent unofficially Filipino. Most of them are Ilocanos, who are family of the sakada generation. But the NCL was in port, and this the foreign flagged one, so alot of the workers are PI nationals. So they were at the Kukui grove shopping center eating lunch. So them plus some mainland filipinos, and the local ones, mad it 90% filipino at the mall. How weird too I ate adobo for lunch at the same mall.

I suggest going to the embassy this morning. Try around 9:30 or 10 AM. Just tell the guards at the window outside that you want to go inside and get the status of your visa. Once you get inside get in line at window X. I would also suggest you make the request in writing for the status of your visa or better yet I would even request expediting your visa processing and give them copies of you and your fiance's plane tickets back to the U.S. The only things they gave us back when they issued Sheryl's visa was our photos that we had given both USCIS and the USE so don't worry about that. Welcome to the thread, Dhen. Are you also joseph and dhevie? I saw this screen name added as no. 38 in your post. I was wondering why your interview date is scheduled on March 19 when your NOA2 date is March 13. Is that an error?
Kayz, it's not panic time yet. I was interviewed ahead of you on April 13 and my visa has not been delivered. Notice that embassy usually releases the visa to Delbros between 5-7 days after the interview. Very seldom do they release visa in three days. I would start worrying if Delbros does not deliver my passport on Day 10 and then the Sheriff can start panicking on Day 15 as he may have to run around naked around the embassy in protest. Better prepare your passport for a possible trip to Manila, Sheriff!

My girl just recently went to her medical interview last Tuesday, and they said they need to preform some additional sputum tests next week... They found an abnormality in her left lung...
I'm really panicking now, as we came so far, and now we have this big disappointment.
The thing is, they said they have to cancel her interview next week because it falls on the day of her interview.
My question is, can my girl still go to her interview if she hasn't received her medical clearance yet?
My girl went ot the embassy and spoke with a girl at the front window who was very rude and said we need to wait for her medical results before she can interview.
I'm thinking she was just in a bad mood that day... Can my girl still attend the interview on tuesday although she has not been cleared for her medical yet?

Sorry to hear about this. Our old member Robhankins had to re-schedule his fiancee, Lilia's, interview when she had to undergo more tests at St. Lukes. Lilia was not allowed to be interviewed even if she showed up at the embassy at the appointed date. Embassy waited until her result was out. Rob re-scheduled Lilia’s interview by faxing and requesting the embassy for "Early Appointment" otherwise Lilia would have been sent to the back of the queue for interview.
I suggest that you read all of Rob's posts by clicking on the link below. You will have an idea what you will be going through in the next few weeks. I think he also posted his letter to the embassy requesting for early appointment interview. By the way, Rob changed his screen name to BigD LittleD so read the posts of BigD LittleD.

Okay, our interview is not on the website, but I emailed the embassy and received a reply that our interview is scheduled for June 5th and the package was mailed today. There is no date given for the medical. I guess it pays to be persistent.
hello everyone! just got back to cebu and finally had time to sit down at a pc. the interview went smoothly for us. the pre-screener asked my fiancee 2 questions and then asked me 3 questions. then i gave him the documents he asked for and pictures. we went and sat back down and then went to the CO when our number came up. The CO asked my fiancee only 3 questions and then told us that everything looks good and in order and to go back out and wait again to be called. then we went and paid the debros fee 
so with how everything went, im seeing that we are approved! yay! finally! we're just waiting for delbros to deliver the visa to us so we can head back to the US together.

Well I just spoke to Mirasol and her medical and vaccinations are done. She told me they took her passport, gave her a copy of her vaccination record (and another item I can't remember) and told her that the results would be forwarded to the Embassy. I guess that means she passed. I asked her if she inquired about whether she passed or at least that everything looked okay and she said, "I did not get the chance to ask." What? I guess we just have to assume that since they did not present any issues to her or require any further tests, that everything was good and she was passed. I am assuming they would not take her passport if there was a problem. If anyone has any different experience where they took the passport at the medical and then later told the beneficiary at the interview that she did not pass the medical, then let me know. Otherwise, I will just assume everything is good and progressing forward.

Yeah same on mine, they took my and my son's passport, and additional 2 pictures, signed the papers then they gave me my xray and vaccination records. I heard if there's some problems they will let the applicant know and ask for additional tests that they think needs to be done. Im happy that Marisol is done with her medical.

She will be traveling to the airport to greet me, and I was thinking it would be nice if she could take care of other things while she is there.

Hello, Im from Angeles City Pampanga too, what part of town Joan lives? We might bump into each other
. I had my medical done early, no you dont have to call or let SLEC know that you'll be there early just dont forget to bring the appointment letter that the embassy sent and show it to the guard<have it photocopied and bring 3 visa photos with no earrings on>. I intend to do the CFO seminar too while we were there for 2 days but since we got done really late on both days and I was exhausted I decided to do it some other time and drive there again.
I have some questions regarding what are the best answers to put on the DS forms, hope you guys can help me out

Yeah, I'm still here. We were scheduled to go back on Monday, the 23rd, but we are trying to re-schedule because there are just tooooo much to do. Since I am the only surviving legal heir, I need to get all of my Mom's affairs in order before I leave. I guess I wasn't thinking straight when we scheduled a very short trip here. Should have known that dealing with the government (my Mom was a gov't employee. Phil. air force) will not exactly be a stroll in the park.

JoanBill, It is only 1.5 hours on a bus to Manila from Pampanga depending on what part you are from. The medical can be done anytime after you receive the Packet 4 and appointment letters. CFO can be done early too, but she will not get the stamp until her interview is complete and you have the K-1 Visa. The Medical take 2 days and the CFO is only a few hours. My wife completed day 2 of the medical then went to the CFO and finished it in the afternoon.
For the CFO, she will need copies of your divorce papers (if any); if 18-21 a parents consent letter with a copy of her parents ID for signature verification; if 22-25 a letter of advisement with the same signature validation requirements. They also asked for 2 photos (regular) while at the CFO, a copy of her BC and CENOMAR (singleness)... there might be a few more requirements, but a search in the onld Manila thread for CFO and SLE will help you. Take a look at Sheriff and Sillygirls signature blocks too. Good luck, Ken & Maria

7. Sweater or Jacket (SLEC is air conditioned and cold)
NOTE: Beneficiaries please bring or know your sponsor's personal infomation (address, phone number, and ssn #) for the SLEC forms. Don't be alarmed because the beneficiary's passport will be taken at SLEC and delivered to the USE along with your medical exam results prior to the visa interview. Beneficiaries please eat beforehand because SLEC prohibits food or drinks inside of the facility. Guest(s) and family member(s), except the beneficiaries child(ren), will NOT be permitted inside of SLEC. REMEMBER - The medical exam is a two day process. Day 1 is the medical exam and Day 2 is the vaccination. At the end of Day 2, SLEC will give the beneficiary their X-ray film and the vaccination worksheet/record (DS-3025).
