Anybody wants to come over for supper tonight? I'm having pork sinigang (with complete ingredients) and fried tilapia. Two nights ago, I found live crabs at the Asian store we have here and bought some. Steamed them for supper with sauteed "kangkong" in oyster sauce. Boy, that was sooooooooooooooooooo good! I'm excited for tonight's meal. The sinigang is as good as we have it back home. Everyone's invited! Just bring "patis" with you.

Well, I still have a pot of sinigang for leftover since David didn't really care for it (it's an acquired taste so I truly understand). But he's happy to see me enjoying my food and that's all that matters to him. The crabs were good because they were still alive when I bought them. It was a pity when I put them in a big skillet and trying to escape. But they're really good and fresh. I really ate with my two hands like a savage (and I didn't care a bit).




I guess I'll have "sinigang" for a week since I fixed a pot-full of it. Wish we're just neighbors, Danny and Ruchie. I would love to have some friends to share my cooking with since my dearest husband is not very fond of eating them.

You better head back home 'coz I have been eating "sinigang" for 3 straight nights now and it's almost gone. I think I only have a bowl of it and I'm planning to have it again tonight. I don't know what she would be cooking, but I do know I won't get any! Mae's been hoggin that food from me.

I don't know yet... maybe our neighbor's pet? We'll be spending the 4th at David's daughter's house, which is not so far away from us. Probably some steaks, burgers and hotdogs... the usual. I'll make peach pie for dessert.

As much as we want to come, we are not going to be able to... I come off being on call Friday at 5pm and it wouldn't be feasible for us to come down that late.... We are going to have to do it some other time.... Damn.... BTW, you being weak doesn't excuse you from being a hog to me....

The past year has had it's ups and downs in Yazi's search for a job. today she was hired to a fulltime postion as Activity Director for a Senior Facility.

Thanks. at times it has been very frustrating for her, so when I heard the news, it was lots of and some relief that she no longer has to experience her frustration of not having a full time job. The bonus is it's something she enjoys doing.

We totally understand yours and hers feelings on that! Ruchie has been frustrated looking for a job, but I know it will happen one day for her... Anyway, knock em out Yazi!!!

is it hard to travel alone to US for the first time? Will there be a chance that i may get lost or deported???

in my case,i traveled alone...you won get lost as long as you know how to read....its very easy....i even had to stops overs,japan and minneapolis but no worrries..just as long as u know how to read u wont get lost...

For me NO. As long as you know how to read and write there is NO problem on it. I see most of the Filipinas flying are by themselves. Just believe in yourself & you can do it and think that your fiance/hubby is waiting for you there.

it would very hard to get on wrong plane & get lost....they watch to make sure u have a ticket for that plane..... if u have visa...they will not deport u ...........as long as u have not opened the visa package

You'll be fine I traveled alone myself and got here last Saturday.Just bring some stomach and head medicine... immigration officer asked me several questions while customs people didn't open my bags.

I traveled alone too and no worries cause their signs is too big for you to notice and besides all the infos are all in your plane ticket to guide you, I traveled alone too between states now that I'm here and its pretty much easy....

No worries dear, you can make it! bring something to read coz you'll surely get bored. As what others said, READ! and if you think your not sure of something don't be afraid to ask. I salute that Japanese ladies who helped me in going through my connecting flight in Washington.

My advise is don't worry aboUT YOUR LUGGAGES that are check in if you do have a connecting flight coz they will take charge of it. In my experienced, that was the cause of my supposed delay and could might miss my flight if I didn't bothered to ASK! Be smart and common sense is important.

its not hard to travel alone as long as u know how to read and communicate people like your kababayan, airport crew and the flight attendant. U can talk to them in english just be sure u say it slowly and clearly.

no chances to get lost if u keep asking where to go next. u will be deported if the officer incharge in your POE doubted your or if u give them reason to deport you.

don't worry u will be fine. congrats and have a safe flight.

As what others in VJ members say, its not scary and you don't have to worry, as long as you know how to read, communicate and knows how to follow instructions you will be fine.

No it's not hard. Just be aware what to do & pay attention to the signs. I traveled alone too thru PAL & I wasn't worrying too much coz from Cebu to SFO, I've seen a lot of Filipinos & that made me feel at ease. You only have to deal with boredom during your flight coz it's long hours of flying...You'll be okay...

Filipinas have true and authentic beauties... inside and out. David loves watching me in the morning when I just woke up because he said I'm not like other women who wear out its beauty in the morning. So sweet of him to say that.
