Fely did not get to have her CFO seminar today (Friday) as planned. Apparently Wednesday night she saw on the news that the Victory bus from Zambales to Manila had been held up, and the riders lost their jewelry, money, and cell phones. That incident shook her up a bit, so she didn't get on the bus Thursday night. Instead she'll be going to Manila on Sunday, and probably have her seminar on Monday.

Hey, I will be taking the seminar on Monday at PRISM... 10:30am session. I know this is a newbie question but do I have to call them and make some kind of reservation or it's ok to just show up and tell them that I'm there for the CFO seminar? Mae

My son and I arrived at the embassy at 7:15 am for the 7:30 interview. By the time I was interviewed by the consul, it was already 2:00 pm! So many people inside. We stepped out of embassy grounds at exactly 3:00 pm, arrived home at 4:45 pm. Reporting for duty now hehe.
My Filipino pre-screener was super duper friendly. Feeling ko nag-bonding kami (charing!). We made chika-ola for 30 minutes. ~ imagine, my pre-screening took all of 30 minutes! Tagal no? Sabi ko na nga ba, the embassy missed me kaya they wanted me back hehe.
On a serious note, please bring the pink receipt that BPI issues during your interview. The bank validation of my DS-157 lacked a “checkwriter” stamp and it caused me some delay. Good thing I brought my pink receipt so they just stapled it at the back of my DS-157. Please remind BPI to stamp the “checkwriter”.
Will update more later guys. I need to wake up my hotDoug (my fiance's name is Douglas and I call him hotDoug behind his back hihi)

Hi Mae,
The seminar is first-come, first-served. I believe they can take 12 at a time. If the session you want is full, you'll have to wait until the next one. I don't know what time Fely plans to get there, but she usually shows up for things hours early. Not sure also if she's going to PRISM or the other place. I'll try to ask her.

Oh yeah COR.......adjusting is the most difficult part when you we're here in the U.S. na... but with my hubby who is very loving and concerned all the time about my crying-crying and missing missing effect he's always there to talk with...lol...that HELP us a lot be more COMFORTABLE here...(internet connection contributed more for my chika chika CHONGGA with my friends and family in PI.... KAHIT MALAYO MALAPIT NA RIN!)Yeah... its hard to be away from your family and friends and not used of this world BUT its a very fullfilling each day to be with your sweety. (WE have round 2 for getting the VISA...LOL and finally I'm very happy for us....)
at salamat ikaw rin tanggal na sa round 2!..hheheheheh)I'm sure you will be the one...crying-crying too starting from the airport!....hehehhehheheh!

Don't mean to spoil the celebration. But i have a question. I didn't get a pink receipt from BPI when i paid my visa and no 'checkwriter' stamp either. I just got a blank validated DS-157 with stamp 'BPI M.H. Del Pilar USD100.00' the branch where i paid, and a stapled white/blue deposit/payment slip with machine validation same as the ones at the back of the DS-157. Do i need something else or will these suffice to prove i paid the visa, or do i have to go back there at the bank to get the pink receipt?

Marvic, We did not get the pink slip either. Ours was the same as yours, but we filled out the 157 that the bank stamped and brought the receipt with it. It was accepted. I think PW was just suggesting to bring the receipt as well as the stamped 157 just in case. Congratws PW and good luck Marvic. Ken & Maria

SWEET! What are you doing next? This is when you say, "I'M GOING TO DISNEYLAND!" Oh, by the by, I believe that you are the first person to have a pleasant encounter with the pre-screeners. In fact, your encounter was beyond pleasant and right there you should have recognized that God was in the midst, which means your approval was destined. Although, you might want to ask God was he on vacation during the first go round. LOL! I joke around like that because I know that God has a sense of humor as well. I pray that once you arrive that we can still keep in contact. Good people are sometimes hard to come by...

My son and I arrived at the embassy at 7:15 am for the 7:30 interview. By the time I was interviewed by the consul, it was already 2:00 pm! So many people inside. We stepped out of embassy grounds at exactly 3:00 pm, arrived home at 4:45 pm. Reporting for duty now hehe.
My Filipino pre-screener was super duper friendly. Feeling ko nag-bonding kami (charing!). We made chika-ola for 30 minutes. ~ imagine, my pre-screening took all of 30 minutes! Tagal no? Sabi ko na nga ba, the embassy missed me kaya they wanted me back hehe.
On a serious note, please bring the pink receipt that BPI issues during your interview. The bank validation of my DS-157 lacked a “checkwriter” stamp and it caused me some delay. Good thing I brought my pink receipt so they just stapled it at the back of my DS-157. Please remind BPI to stamp the “checkwriter”.

Welcome aboard to the "waiting ship" You have to sit back and relax, be patient coz it's going to be quite a long journey. The good thing is you have the rest of your Manila Embassy family to watch over you and assist you in anyway we can Here's to a speedy processing on your case at CSC!

My baby got her visa in hand today. She passed her interview on April 4th. I want to thank everyone here for their prayers and this community and I wish everyone who is going through this stressful time the best of luck. It is certainly a test of faith and love. I don't think it would have been easier without everyone here. May God bless you all.
