CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE WHO GOT APPROVED AND GOT THEIR GREENCARD...

we got married last nov 4 and now i am in the process of filling-out the forms and gathering documents for the AOS...now i need help for the following:

1. Address - C/O
2. What should i put in line "Current USCIS status" in Form 1-485?
3. Were you inspected by a US immigration officer? (I handed to him the yellow envelope and asked me some questions before stamping my !-94).
4. In what status did you last enter?
5. Applying with you? Under list of husband/wife?

Thanks for all your help and support...wish we could get this through smoothly...I will also file an EAD with this form...am i right that the total fee is $1010?

thanks again...

You may want to use the sample form here in VJ as your pattern because that's what I did, but to answer your questions, here it is.

1. Just you and your husband's address, don't worry about the C/O
2. K1 Visa holder
3. Yes
4. K1 or K1 Visa holder
5. You have to make this one clear because I looked for this on my own form and didn't find it

I believe it's correct, $1010 including AP and EAD. Good luck!

--Mae

thats the part that asks you to list husband/ wife and all children.

Thanks thanks a lot...two more things though...

1. How should i sign the form? under "signature" --- the signature appearing in my passport (with my maiden name) or a new signature with my married name (with this though, i still have no other documents with a new signature)...How did you sign yours????

2. Shall I include a new form G-325A with the AOS application???

3. Could you give me a summary of uscis form/info/documents that should come with the AOS applxn???

Many thank yous to all!

1. sign using married name.
2.yes, include a new G-325a
3. the guide here on VJ is very helpful. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1k3aos

Wife just finished her interview last week!

Befor her interview we searched for information
detailing what the process would be like and so
we looked here.

But this thread seems to be packed with other
than the interview process.

We would like to give input concerning my wife's
interview process but this don't seem like the
right place?

Can someone let us know where we can give
input on my wife's interview for other to
benefit???

Thanks!!!

* Post your wife's experience within this thread
* Create your own thread posting your wife's experience
* Provide a review of the Manila Embassy when you update your timeline

In the affidavit of support (I-864), Line 23 (Sponsor's current individual annual income), what should we put here? the current for the year 2007, supported by the letter of employment, since the tax return for 2007 is not yet filed till next year or the adjusted gross income reported in the 2006 tax return, though this is not his current income for the year anymore?

thanks.

I put down my current annual income from 2007. I included for supporting documents, letter from my employer, photocopy of 2006 ITR and photocopy of W-2. you can use an IRS transcript instead of tax return and W-2. if your pay has increased since 2006, you can also include photocopies of recent pay check stubs.

Hi hi! I just want to share that I've (finally) received my GC. It was a long wait! But now that I have it, life is better. I'm going home to Manila after Thanksgiving, and won't be back til before Valentine's (long story, but my mom loves my hubby so much now for his understanding that she needs me with her right now). We won't have our first Christmas together, but we'll still have each other (and I can sort of escape from the snow here in Ohio, for two months, anyway).

Getting the GC is such a relief, because even though I have my AP, I'm still worried that certain airport personnel won't recognize it for what it is, and thus give me hell when I try to fly back next year. All's good now, though! I was even able to get my driver's license today smile.gif I had my temporary permit for a while, too the test last october, but didn't get the real DL car until today (para valid hangga't valid ang GC). Great thing, though.. my DL is valid for 4 years! Haha! It's valid for much longer than my green card. Aliw lang..

So what's up with everyone? The thread has been relatively quiet ever since some key people made it to the US. Not complaining, just curious smile.gif Hope you're all happy! And good luck to y'all who're still waiting for their interviews and such.

I am now confused..

my husband's adjusted gross income in tax year 2006 is different from his current income (due to change of work)...higher income this year...the current income is supported by the letter of employment...however, what is asked is the "current annual income", however again that, the affidavit states that the income to be written is the adjusted gross income in the tax return...

pls help me understand further....

Correct. Put his current annual income on line 23 and support this with a letter of employment and the last 3 pay stubs. And then report the adjusted gross income for 2006, 2005, 2004 as provided in item 25 of the I-864 and support this with copies of his Form 1040.

By the way, providing copies of Form 1040 for years 2005 and 2004 is optional. We chose, however, to provide the last 3 years of ITR or Form 1040 to avoid any possible RFEs.

Good luck!

I had my TD shot done at one of the civil surgeons (Tama ba?) the same day I had my vaccination info transcribed to that other form.. The shot and the transcription cost something like 50, I think.. more than what some people paid, but at least I got it all over with. And in my case, I didn't get the TB skin test done here.. but I still got approved smile.gif

Thanks a lot...we sent the AOS package this morning...hope ill be as lucky as you are guys!

Hi PW & Ate Luzy C!!!!!!!!!!!!

1st congratulations to both of you..... for being here in the US with your beloved hubby and kid plus the approval of your GC recently.... it's been so long since i've been in contact here in VJ.

I've been busy as a devoted fulltime wife to my hubby and mother of my 2 sons. Lloyd my son is been a great student for past 2 years claiming honor student of all time of his grading periods in school. I've been working and driving now & then, right after we came back from BLAST Vacation we had last June-August 2007 in Manila with my hubby and my 2 sons.

If you have time, you could call me and keep in touch in writing or text ..... Ate Luz I couldn't find a way yet to go fly somewhere or drive ...because I'm the one taking care of my hubby 24/7. If you find a vacation with your hubby and your teen son here in Atlanta someday or next year or next pa..... our home is openly available to accommodate you and your family.

As my calendar shows me, the only time we are not home for this year is on xmas eve, we will be spending it with my mother inlaw in Florida. Here's my CP# 678-231-1692.

Miss you both and love yah ..... rose.gif

Iya, Congrats on your GC! kicking.gif Have a safe trip to Manila.

Welcome to the US and Congrats on your wedding. blush.gif You can have your TD shots at a Local Health Department because it is much cheaper. But if You can find a Civil Surgeon that will transfer your vaccination records and will give you the TD shots at a lower price then it will be better to have it done with the Civil Surgeon. If the Health department and Civil Surgeon in your area is updated, they may request you to undergo the tuberculin skin test. But make sure you have your previous CXR from SLEC so if your TB skin test will turn out positive (as we usually are positive for this), then they will have a CXR to compare with. Good Luck!

how old is your baby girl? she's so pretty. you were waiting for my call? ok then i'll call you sometime soon.

My life in the US has been so great and getting better and better. Been working for quite sometime now and lovin' it.

How was your thanksgiving, ours was great, it was simple but yeah, we had turkey and other foods and a little celebration for the holiday.

How bad is the snow in Kingston? i'd say it's been moderate here in CNY, not too bad but it's snowing once in a while.

talk to yah soon ate, ciao!
