or to be more specific, our friends wanted to surf in phil, but we're bringing wakeboards/wakeskate and stuff to get there so its not really an option to bring surfboards. so we're hoping if we could find a place where we could just
rent surfboards and its very accessable for to stay (food, hotel)... thanks for the help!!!

hi, Delbros delivered by visa packet today and apart from the brown envelope (which says "DO NOT OPEN") and the CFO instructions, there's a bunch of our photos, letters and other documents which we originally submitted together with the I-129F. Do i need to handcarry these photos, etc. for presentation at the POE or do i need the brown envelope only?

You just need the brown envelope. They are returning the other photos and documents to you.

The co-sponsor's papers will be submitted to the embassy Monday, how long before they should send Kathlene her visa?
This is the only thing they requested and the gentleman was very happy with Kathlene's answers at the interview. They had her pay Delbros, so I am hoping they will release the visa after reviewing my co-sponsor's info.

hi guys!!!
im a bit worried here (not really sure if i should be or not)... my husband just bought a ticket for us to phil which im so happy about lol... the thing is, i know for sure that if you're going abroad they will ask for your passport, but the name in my ticket is not in my passport name (maiden name) but rather what's on my green card which is my husband's name... kinda bit complicated. should this be ok? maybe bringing a marriage cert with me will help? or do i really have to change the name of the ticket to what is in my passport

... hope i could find some answers... thanks!!!

From my understanding, no, you wouldn't have to appear in any government agencies right away, NOT UNLESS, you are in a hurry to get married. In that case, you will have to go to SSA for your SSN, apply for marriage license, etc. You might also need to have the Td shot and TB skin test as part of the AOS paperwork. And like I said, these are all if you're in a hurry. Otherwise, you have at least 90 days to do everything and get over the jetlag.
Minneapolis was my POE and the Immigration officer was really nice to me. It didn't take more than 5 mins for him to finish checking my documents and such...
Good luck and have a safe trip!

I've seen where people claim they got away just using the DS 3025 but I wouldn't take a chance.
Google Supplemental I-693. That's the "I-693a" Don't know why peeps call it I-163a.
It's A Appendix .
You don't really need one as the DCS should have one. Take a blank to the DCS anyway in case he doesn't have one.

You will have to find a civil surgeon who can transfer all your vaccination records into I-693A or the supplement. Here's the link for CS... just enter your zipcode
https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=of...office_type=CIV and it will give you the list of CS close to your area. You don't have to worry about the I-693A form since the CS will provide it. They will put it in a sealed envelope and that's the one you will include in your AOS packet. Most CS will insist that you do the entire medical all over again so I suggest to be firmed and inform them that you just had the physical some months ago (at St. Lukes) and it is valid for 12 months so you only need the supplement. Make sure that you have the Td shots done and has record of it. I even had a TB skin test included.
Good luck!

You can have the TD shot done by any doctor. Just take the record of such to the DCS.
Try your local heath department. Some to it for free.

CONGRATS!!!! finally Kathleen have her visa. The main brown envelop should not be opened or if it looks like it has been opened/tampered, it should be returned to USEM and they should re-packaged it, or else, she might not be allowed entry at POE if they see the envelop has been opened/tampered.

That is correct. I had my TD shots in our city health department for free but I had to pay $25 for the TB skin test. Be sure to have these recorded. They will give you a vaccination booklet (I have one from them). Civil Surgeon is the one who will transfer all your vaccination records. I must warn you... since we came from the Philippines where we had BCG shots when we were kids, it is possible that you are positive of TB (I am) because of the anti-bodies. They might insist to have you treated so better bring your X-ray film the day that they will read the TB skin test. That way, you have a proof that you don't have TB and your lungs are healthy, according to the chest X-ray you had in the Philippines. That could save you a lot.

Same thing with the Civil Surgeon. Some (or most) of them will insist that you do the entire medical so you have to be firm that you only need the I-693a and that you had the medical at St. Lukes and all the documents were forwarded to DHS when you turned in the yellow envelope at POE. The PE we had during K1 process is valid for 12 mos. so no need to redo the entire physical.
Good luck!
