Hello everyone,

My husband emailed me a copy of his income tax return forms. I noticed that there is no signature in the
"Paid Preparer's Use Only - Preparer's Signature" part. I called his attention about it, and he said that we don't need the Preparer's signature and that is the only copy he had. I asked him to let them sign it, and I am having a hard time getting his cooperation because of his work schedule, especially that our interview is a month from now already.

Will this copy (no signature) suffice?

That line is only signed if he had someone else prepare his taxes for him. smile.gif

I know, that's why I ask him (husband) to let them (tax preparation company) sign it. But husband says, that's the only copy he got.

Hi friends,

No time to catch up on the forums right now, but I know you all want to hear, Fely's visa was approved. The CO wrote something on a piece of paper that had the words "Administrative review" printed on it, then she said "now you may go pay for your visa delivery." I asked if there would be further review, and she said they are finished. I asked if we were approved, she said "Yes." So I expect the visa delivery soon. Delbros tracking doesn't seem to be working. I'll post more details later. See ya.

Gary and Fely

Well whether she wrote AR on a paper or not, the bottom line is she told you that you are approved and you got to pay delbros. I think that means you will get your visa....hopefully soon since I believe you intended to fly back together. Congrats on passing the interview and getting approved!!!

I just sent mine today, the packet includes form I-485, I-864, G-325A,I-765(optional). A copy of my I-94 departure record, birth certificate, 2 pictures, certified copy of our marriage certificate, I-693 from the civil surgeon, copy of I-797 notice of action from USCIS, our joint bank account and medical and dental insurance copy that has our names on it. The guide is on the AOS forum, thats what I followed when I was assembling my packet.

WOW! You were quick! We are still waiting on the certified copy of the marriage certificate. crying.gif We applied for her SS card so I can add her to my insurance, but it hasn't arrived either. Hope it will get here soon.

Take care and God bless!

the cost can vary, so it pays to shop around. civil surgeon office locator. https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=of...office_type=CIV
we paid $20 to have vaccination records transcribed to the I-693a and $30 for the TD shot.

Good luck. You'll have to give us the details of the interview as that is always interesting to everyone.

Take Care,

She did not write "Administrative Review" on the paper, it was a form titled Administrative Review. I'm pretty sure there is no AR, but since Delbros tracking is still down, we'll know when we get the visa. I'm optimistic about it, as there are none of the signs others have had with there is a review. I'll keep you informed. Thanks for the congrats.

Fely and Gary (hey its nice to have her here watching me type this)

Thanks Roy. So does it mean that I really dont need to have additional shots from hat were required by SLMEC? The tetmus and RPR shots may cost $250 each shot which I dont like to pay if really not needed. So far what I had in SLMEC are: 1 shot of MMR and 1 shot of Varicella. They told me to take another shot of varicella here or in the US and TD shot in the US since it is not available here in the Phils.

Pls pls advise..thanks.

Update...I just called the embassy and I asked the status of my wife's visa,(she got the 221g paper but nothing was checked) and they said everything was confirmed(paperwork) today and was sent back to the person(consul) handling the case. They said it might take a week or so to get to her case.... oh well, I guess I could wait. She's still waiting for her Nursing Board Exam Results, so she could get her license(anybody got info on that?when the results will come out) tongue_ss.gif

wishing everything will turn out okay for your wife's visa.
hope she will pass on her nursing board exam. my friend who took the last nursing board said it was difficult.

btw, i checked on your timeline and i saw that me and your wife had the same interview date. what was her appointment time??? mine was 7 am. me and your wife could have sit beside each other then. in my case , i was given a pink slip with visa approved written on it and the consul said CONGRATULATIONS at the end of my interview but until now i have not yet received the visa. my fiance called up the embassy last friday to follow up the status and a lady told him that it is still at the consuls desk and to call back next thursday or friday(means this week) and not monday to wednesday because of the holiday so we concluded that our papers are on parking there at the consul's desk hoping that it wil be released when they are back on office. there is nothing that we can do but sit tight and pray.i will include your wife in my prayers too.
what reason the consul gave to your wife about the 221g???

Hello everyone! I'm here now with my future husband! kicking.gif kicking.gif Boy, it was a long way to be here... 28 hours, Jesus! But thank God, I made it here safe and sound and seeing David at the airport made me forget about the long and tiring trip... and oh, the jetlag. He's worth everthing to me! heart.gif It seems so surreal that I am here with him. I had to pinch myself till I got bruised just to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Anyway, it's going to be a busy month for me with all the adjustments to make, meeting my future in-laws, some new friends, plus the wedding preparations on top of everything.

I wish you all the best for those who will have their interview appointments for this month! good.gif And have a happy marriage to those who just got married!

Had our interview on Thursday June 7th, and VISA still not released. We were called around 11:30 to see the CO after turning the DS forms, PICS, Tax transcript for 2006 and Affidavit of Support to the pre-screener. As we sat back down, they told everyone to leave for lunch. After lunch we return to our seats expecting to be called, sat for a few hours and decide to see what the problems was. Anyhow they tell us that we were called at 11:58, we certainly didn't hear it. As we were waiting we found out that there was a index finger scan that should have been done at end of CO interview, we informed the woman at window 37(?) that it wasn't done. She went and checked and said it was done, my fiancée said no it wasn't, anyhow they gave us the pink slip and told to pay DELBROS.

Fast forward to the following Monday, my fiancée receives a call from the Embassy to come back and do her index finger scan, she reports to window X and then does finger scan after they locate her file.

Jump ahead a week and I call the embassy to see why VISA still is not released. Either Lorraine or Sandy tells me that my Fiancée's father is a Naturalized American, LOL. They said she was told at interview to report to American Citizen Service to apply for USA Passport. I said no she wasn't, I was there. I get off the phone with the Embassy and called her. She checks with her family about this, you see her father has been deceased for twenty years. Both her mom and Lola assure her that her father has never been to the United States. So I call the Embassy back and inform them.

Another four or five days later I call again, now the file has been transferred back to the CO. I asked if they need anything more from us, no they say, its just waiting for approval. I call every few days to check, still no change, nothing needed, and it's at CO's desk. I have spoken to Lorraine and Sandy a few times now, no help. My legal representation that touts having a professional working relationship with the Embassy in Manila and full Embassy support are of no help, they suggest if it goes on like this I contact my Senator, Thanks.

So I fax the Privacy Release Act form to both my Senators and my US Representative. No reply from them, I will be calling their offices to follow up and calling back the Embassy again in the next day or two. It is also nice that DELBROS can't keep their database up and running.

There, I feel better now. Just that the summer is passing away and I will be celebrating Independence Day without out the woman I love. I know others have had to wait a lot, lot longer than us. So its not a pity party, just a wake up call. Uncertainty is certainly a test of the strength of a couple's relationship.

Moral of the story, if everything isn't spot on the day of the interview, then be prepared to wait. Pink slip or not. Regardless of what they tell you. Even if you try your best and meet all the requirements, things can still go astray. So the Visa Journey continues.

Good luck to upcoming interviews, I hope you the best. Congratulations for those we met at the Embassy, who had success, and a quick review process for the others we met there.

i think those who have their interview in june are going through the same agony.
we are on the same boat. my interview was on june 20. like your fiancee i also got the pink slip and the consul even said CONGRATULATIONS at the end of the interview but up to now i am still waiting for the VISA. my fiance called up the embassy last friday and a lady told him that it is still at the consul's desk and to call back thursday or friday this week and never to call back on monday(yesterday) to wednesday because it is holiday. maybe all june interviews have no visa yet.
hope our visas will be released soon.

I know, Ano. It's tough to wait, but you're closer now than you ever were before and getting closer every minute. My honeyko and myself needed to make some concrete plans for a celebration we're having in the Philippines, and we needed to do it before we had our interview date, so basing it on my best guess, and factoring what I thought could be a certain amount of AR time, I came up with August 4. Well, she had her interview June 5 and her visa a week later and I still have a month to go!!!!!! But it's all in God's hands, I know that. In ways I haven't completely realized, we are using the time for the best.
I know things will work out well for you, hang in there.

Ano -> I wish you'll receive good news from them any time now. Looks like USEM is overwhelmed with visa applicants and are taking too much time to grant this applicants their visas. You fiancee will receive her visa soon. Just don't give up on following up your case. You are a very "patient" man and you will reap good rewards from all of this. Good Luck and Congrats (in advance).

Just a quick question about "advanced parole". I understand that a K-1 cannot leave the US while the AOS is pending without an "advance parole" being filed, right? What if my wife has no plans to go back before then? If there is an emergency, can she still go back and request "forgiveness" to come back due to the family emergency? I'm just trying to justify the extra expense in my head when she has no plans to go back for at least a year or two...barring an family emergency. Can someone please explain or give some advice?

Thanks.

I am so happy now, we have been waiting for so long and thanks to the True God's power and love, our journey has finally ended...

I want to thank everyone for their support, and I pray that she recieve her visa very soon.

I have a question though, is there anyway I can track the visa from DELBROS?

You may want to get a TB skin test at your local health department and take the results of the TD and skin test to your DSC.
They normally have their own Supplemental I-693 form. Doesn't hurt to take a blank of your own tho!
Try and get a copy of what the DCS puts in the sealed envelope!

Congrats on the recent approvals.

getting close for us, July 11 interview. I am flying down to Manila on July 8 to be with her.

Quick question on DS-156
Are you bringing the visa photos seperately and giving them when requested or are people attaching them to both copies of the DS-156 in the space provided?

Thankyou
Carl & Ginovie

Oh one more quick question,

For the DS-156K, it states that the following documents be attached ... Does that mean we staple or somehow attach all the required documents like BC, Evidence of Engagement and I-134 plus supporting documents to this form?
My evidence of engagement alone is a couple of flexible binders full and I-134 and supporting is another flexible folder full.

Your experience is appreciated.

No you have them seperate as the [2] DS 156, DS 156K [K1] and [2]DS 157 are the first things they take at the interview.
Believe they mean DS 156K attached to DS 156

If she leaves the US without advance parole prior to approval of the AOS, there will be no forgiveness. You will have to file a I-130 petition for spouse and start over again.

hi fellow vj'ers i have a question, we are now in the stage of our visa journey where we already got our packet 4 and is scheduled for medical and interview soon...my fiance (USC petitioner) just moved (as in last month, June) to the house he and his sister bought and will also be our home soon...in the forms submitted I129F it is his old address because we filed it in Feb 2007, my questions are the following:

=>in our form I-134 (Affidavit of Support) should it be still old or new address?
=>when i fill out my DS156, DS157 and DS156K which address, old or new?
=>forms to fill up during medical, what address should we use?
=>do we need to inform any office of this change in address?

we are worried on the consistency of the address used in the forms we submitted..would appreciate your replies...please..thanks...

Thank you for the response. I guess we'll have to talk about it together more, but I guess for the $170 its not worth the risk.

With the end of this phase in sight and the upcoming fee increase for the next stage of this process... whistling.gif

I would like to get some thoughts from all of you on how far in advance to purchase plane tickets... biggrin.gif

I vaguely recall reading that Delbros delivers visas in the Metro Manila area in 7-10 business days (or I may be engaging in wishful thinking!) cool.gif

With an interview date of August 13, would it be safe to buy plane tickets for Sept. 1?

Thoughts, ideas, suggestions will be gladly and graciously accepted! good.gif

Visa received!!!!!

Shortly after my last post, Fely received a text message from the Delbros courier telling us to stay home and wait for delivery. That was at about 1:30 pm. We waited what seemed like forever. At 5:30 pm he rode up on his bike. Apparently ours was his last visa delivery of the day, our of a total of 58 from Manila to Olongapo to Palauig. We fed him soda and cookies, and I even gave him a tip. I figured it out--one delivery every 12 minutes from early morning.

I will post an interview review shortly if I have time before Fely and her sister return from the bank. Good luck to those still waiting for their visas from their June interviews.
