He DEFINATELY needs to go to the interview as planned. The worst thing they will do is give him a 'blue slip' and he will have to come back with the non-impediment form when he gets it.

Hey guys I'm back ...so his mother did take the bus to the airport and YES I ended up taking her home His plane landed about 8:30 and he didn't get out till about 10:30 ..she (his mother) went up to the front of the bars :)wanted to be the 1st one he sees she was like come up here..I said no whats the point he gotta come this way right !!..so all she said was Kashi look good eeehh..I'm like shut up !

he said they didn't ask him anything at immigration, he asked about changing his visa to IR 1 and they did..changed it in his passport and on the forms or whatever papers they had...which is great

other than waiting it was pretty stress free...

Two more days and I'll be in the air flying to Kingston. I am retyping the DS-156 after finding a typo. What is the correct entry for the "State/Province" box? The sample shows the City in this box. I repeated the city in this box and now wonder if maybe I should put "None" or just leave it blank? I’m a perfectionist so all these form seem to be taking me forever to finish.

Thank you, I feel better. Last night I told Donna that this time next week this interview will be behind us.

Thanks guys for the Happy Birthday and Anniversary wishes. We are off to Red Lobster tonight to celebrate. I can't believe its been a year and that its my last year in my 20's. My wish for my this year is to find a business that doubles my teaching salary so Dwain and my dreams can come true.


Were also going over to my parent house to tell them that hubby passed his second placement test and made it into freshman English, that he got his drivers licenses, show them the new car we bought, and tell them we are pretty sure hubby has a part time job. We will know on Friday crossing our fingers. We also have started working on an internet business with a great Team. I just never believed it would be so great in 2 months and all this would happen. . O.K. I won't bore people to death with all this news.


This weekend is are USA pig roast reception. We have 185 people attending it should be fun very low key no dressing up.

I spoke to JG last night and she said the same thing Rhonda did, to have Marlon go to the interview even if he doesn't have the form!

So I told Marlon this and he's like well I want to follow the rules and the paperwork blah blah blah.... I so wanna strangle him! He did speak to a supervisor at the RGO's office and the guy was like man it shouldn't take that long! He gave Marlon a phone number and extension to call him directly tomorrow so we'll see. I explained to Marlon that he should go to the interview because it will be faster and better for him to be issued a 221G rather than waiting around for another interview! I was almost yelling at him to get through his stubbornness! I told him point blank that I want and NEED him here and I refuse to wait another couple of months. I then asked him if he would just go for us. He said he would. *sigh* Here's hoping for the NIM form tomorrow!

Yeah, they all are STUBBORN! I have gotten to the point that I just pray and ask God for Aaron to see the light and what I am trying to say to him; it then becomes his idea and it makes it easier. Good luck to you both. I have had my share of issues with the RGD. Took us almost 4 months to get our marriage certificate from them.

Future Mrs., trust, I know all about stubborn men. I've just about had it with my husband. The other day I told him to call and schedule the appointment for the medical this week for no later than next week. He tells me "well the paper says 10 to 14 days so I'm goin to wait until th 25th" so (besides the fact that the 25 is a saturday which I didn't find out until later) I was like why are you going to push it so close when you know how slow ja is and you never know what can happen. Then he says " well maybe the 19th" (another freekin saturday) . I was so pissed I was like the paper says at least 10 to 14 days because they know it takes sometime for the information to get to them. You don't want to go to the interview and you not get the visa because the report didn't come.

I feel like just send him the rass binder and not even bother go again. mek him deal with everything himself. I can't tek up this stress pon me head. If him want to wait till September 3rd fi do it a fi him bloodcl@@t problem dat. I'm just about done. I have to start studying for the LSAT and I need to finish my incompletes, get applications ready. He's just not helping at all. It it makes him feel better tell him that when the calls to schedule the "medical" THEY are going to ask him the date of the interview and his appointment will then be scheduled 10-14 days before the interview. This is really what the paper means even though it's not very clear.

He might have a problem getting an appointment if he waits until two weeks BEFORE the actual interview. Then the "worst case scenario" will be going to the interview without taking the medical and you will get the 221g pending the results.

If he doesn't believe you have him call where you are planning on doing the medical and they will confirm that to him. You gotta do what you gotta do .....MEN.....

Ok, here's a question for the recent interviewees: When Marlon presents himelf for the interview at the embassy, which forms does he hand over right away before interviewing?

I called and made an appointment for Donna from the States. Donna works a lot of hours and can't hold on the phone waiting. She lives in Kingston with two places to go for the visa medical. So, I called both places and made two appointments about a week apart. That way if she missed the first one there was another already scheduled.

That was a smart move, Jay.

She received it in the mail the following week. I believe a lot of prayer helps. Something arriving through the mail in Jamaica in a week is a miracle. She also went to Spanish Town for this form. I hope to meet Marlon in a few days.

I know its been a while, and some of you probably don't know who I am, but I just wanted to stop in and say hello. I hope everyone is doing well, and things are going smoothly with this crazy process. Just a little update....my case was expedited by the NVC and sent to the embassy in Kingston...yay! I am kind of confused though because I just sent off the AOS bill/ DS 3032 two weeks ago , I have not received anything regarding payment of the IV bill nor sending in the I-864. They already sent the DS 230 part 1 packet to my hubby, so maybe I will pay those fees through the embassy?? I dunno. I am just going with the flow. Crazy because I was going to use James Shortcuts, but maybe I won't need to. Not sure if hubby will be home in time before the baby is born, I am about 29 weeks ( 7 months?) now. But maybe God will work a miracle, as he has already done for us. A lady from the embassy told my husband that she would try to schedule him for the next interview appointment that they have available...whatever that means. I guess I was under the impression that if the NVC expedited our case, the embassy would function in the same manner, i.e. emergency visa appointment. But anyway, I just wanted to give you ladies an update and let you know that things are going ok for me. I will check for you guys later.

The best cheese steaks for people coming from out of town is down South Philly. Pat's or Geno's steaks (9th and Passyunk). Tourist for some reason love these steak stores. I personally think that the best cheese steaks are from the neighbourhood pizza stores.
Jamaican restaurants - Tropical Restaurant 52nd and Haverford (West Philly), Jamaican Jerk Hut 15th and South street.

I refused to do anything after the visa left the U.S. I did my part and he had his to do. Andre made all his own appointments and collected everything he needed.

I, on the other hand <Miss Anal> had to do EVERYTHING for Roy. He got his Birth Certificate and Police Record but I did everything else. If I left it up to him, he would still be in Jamaica trying to figure the paperwork out
