Almost. I have an IUD. It's been working perfectly for 5 years. I don't expect to remove it, for at least 5 more years. So if it's god's will that I become preggers with it in i'll deal with it, but I'm not taking it out!!!!!

I feel your fustration. Ours, the EAD was approved today. It feels like (to hubby) we've been waiting a long time, when In fact we haven't I just filed for the thing. Well, hubby isn't even excited about it, acted like he could care less. Some friends of his talked him into going into business with them, auto mechcanic (sp)/ opening up an auto service shop, so he feels like he has the chance of a life time to partner with these people to start his own business, something he has always done. He no longer wants to get a job working for someone else. So even though to him I am very supportive, encouraging the whole idea. There are red flags all over the place. I cannot be the one who ask what about this and what about that, for example the business license I look like the bad person who is shooting down his dreams.

I agree, just extra money. All three of our cases were touched, after in filing for the EAD and the AP I think I made a huge mistake waiting to file the the EAD and the AP. They want that money It's not that I am not greatful. I'm just pissed at the time it took to get things moving. I'm glad that I can finally focus on my life and not immigration.

my fiance's bc doesn't have his father listed on it either. i'm actually a bit confused about it, because i didn't think a child could take his father's last name unless the father's info is on it. (i don't think they were married at the time of his birth) so when i mentioned this to him, he decided to ask his mom about it. her only response was, "go ask your father why his name isn't on it." she was so nonchalant about it i almost laughed out loud.

another thing i just can't believe is that his date of birth is wrong! how in the hell can someone mess up a date of birth on a birth certificate for crying out loud??? isn't that the whole purpose of a bc? lol!

that's a good tip. i'll suggest it to him when he goes to get his long form bc.




that was very smart of him rhonda. i was curious as to how much a test costs in jamaica and i was going to have him do the same thing until i happened to see that walmart had a home test. all that much more convenient, and it wasn't too expensive...only 20 bucks.

Well my husband it took him 2 years to get his birthcertificate to get worked out. His birth mom forgot to put his name on it. That is why we waited so long for this process. His dad passed away almost 20 years ago so his name is not on it. So Dwain could never go ask his Dad why his name is not on the birth certificate. He dare not ask his birth mom because she has no clue about us. I just can't understand why his mom would have 13 kids and only take care of 3. I am glad Dwain went to his aunts house or we would of never met. To his Birth mom for not putting his name on the BC. Mr goodness.

IS that 22 working days or all together. I asked the lady when she gave us the appoitment how long it would be if he got the visa to recieve and she said 14 working days. Maybe with the Easter Holiday held it up. I bet u get it next week. Best wishes on calling them this Friday Pam !!!

I can't really state it on a post what happened. Lets say I cried all the way to MoBay in the bus hiding it until the next day because another guy on the trip got stung by a jelly fish and had a near death experience. So I thought I toughen up until the next day I couldn't bear the pain no longer.

Tony used to smoke sometimes. He was not a heavy smoker by any means. I smoked with his cousin a bit while I was down there and Tony barely hit it. I'm not a big smoker either, but I can't resist the Jamaican ganja!

good morning ladies....i haven't posted in a couple days dealing with some personal issues w/ mike...i feel i have been pretty honest about our issues...i am going to lay it all out there...
i recieved an online alert that our cell phone bill was ready...when i looked at how much more it was i decided i better look to make sure hey didn't charge us wrong again like they did a couple months ago....when i got to mike's number i came across 3 local wilmington numbers...that were called every day for the past month...i asked him about it and he said they were friends....when i said ok lets call...he admitted they were girls he met..after toying with the idea of calling them...mt friend said i'll calll and get the scoop....i knew what the girl was going to say but just needed to hear it i guess..
she said he approched her...w/out his ring...told her he was living her w/ his aunt...and he needed a "friend"...when she asked him if he was involved he said no....so he asked he for her number and called her the next day....then after that she never heard from him...she said she got the feeling he was trying to hook up....the other 2...one was at a JA resturant the other on the bus....he said they were just someone to talk to....but the other girl....he admitted could have been something more...
i am devistated....very confused....and feel very betryed...my worst fear....came to life....
i don't want you all to feel sorry for me....today is a new day....if anything...maybe this experince will open up some of your eyes...and let you know it can happen....just be prepared...

I have a question for you guys...I just found out about a great job at a credit union that I want to apply for. How do you put your current job on the resume so they know that you are working but you don't want them to be contacted. I don't really want this job right now to know that I am still looking elsewhere. Do I just leave them off the resume completely? Put the job title down but leave the company name blank? What would you do? I already know what I will say when asked in an interview why I would be leaving after such a short time. I don't want my current job to be contacted because if I don't get a new job I still need this one...know what I mean? Hope that made some sort of sense...any tips and ideas are appreciated.

Every place I have ever applied has made me fill out an employment application in addition to submitting my resume. Stupid, if you ask me cause they are saying the same thing; but.......Anyhow, there always seems to be something you can check on the application stating whether they can contact your current and former employers or not.

Thanks! Yeah I have done that before...I guess the part I didn't mention that would have been helpful is the fact that they are only accepting resumes via email/online...so I wasn't sure how to do it that way.

If you have to send an online letter with it, I would state in there that your current company is not away you are looking and you would like to keep it that way.

They should not contact your current employer until after an interview. They usually ask if it is okay to contact them. Most understand that it causes problems. Go for it.

A really good question, I'm quite worried since I've worked for my present company for the past 9 years. I will be on maternity/holiday leave until December 2008, but want to start working Jan 2008. I am not allowed to work while on maternity leave, obviously there's no way my company in the UK would know unless the company I wanted to work for called them...But how on earth do I make that clear to companies I'm applying to?
And if I leave them off, I would have 'no' employment history for 10 years!

I noticed that immigrant visas (CR1) and taking a lot less time then non-immigrants visas (K1 & K3) to arrive. I wonder why?
