That's unfortunate that idautomation is putting their name on the barcode images, but what are you going to do, they're providing it for free. As beameup suggested, the best workaround is with a graphics image editor. IrfanView is simple to use and free; you can download it at
http://www.irfanview.com/.
Contrary to what you suggested above, you still can right click on the barcode image after it's been generated and then click on Copy (or Copy Image if you're using Firefox). Then open up Irfanview and simply hit Ctrl+V to paste the barcode image into IrfanView. It's ready to edit from there -- just draw a box around the barcode with the mouse cursor, leaving out the "idautomation." Once you've drawn that box, hit Ctrl+C to copy. Then proceed with the shortcut instructions (i.e., copy the barcode into Word as instructed).
I'd amend the shortcuts, but they've long since been incorporated into someone else's post in the pinned thread.
