I should have been clearer in my last post. The EAD renewal is not connected to my husband's case. I'm asking the question for a cousin. In my husband's case I'm clear as to how to file for renewal but my cousin's case is a little different. I don't know if anyone has any experience with his type of case. Here's a little info on his case.

• He's a Cuban citizen
• He can't file AOS till he's been here at least one year (he should be filing in about a week)

I know that there are special rules/steps for Cuban citizens, I'm just not up to date with them. The rest of my family came for Cuba but that was ages ago, so I know the laws have changed. He's got a lawyer but he seems of no help.

What does he need to do to renew his EAD since it expires soon and his AOS papers have not been filed???

Everyone here has been helpful with my husband's case but his case is pretty average. I hope someone out can help!
