Both applications are approved.... MAY 10th. thats before the double touches.
They forgot to tell me I guess.... I called in. I still have not gotten an NOA2 for either and the computer system still has not updated. I presume they haven't sent it to the NVC yet, either?

Thanks! I just put up a new thread about how to get through to a real person, because I think maybe a lot of people are in the same boat as me. I doubt they have moved the petition on to the NVC yet, though... so still more waiting. But at least my worrying can subside a bit tongue.gif

Here is the correct sequence to call: (I think!!)

CSC: 1.800.375.5283
- 1 for English
- 2 for main menu
- 2 for questions about RFE
- 4 For RFE questions
- ENTER IN RECIEPT #
- 2 to talk to a real person!

You have to give them your information again once you talk to them.

*edit*
** I still should not edit my timeline because I have not recieved an NOA2 yet... for all intents and purposes it still hasn't been approved... right? **

Hi all:

I recieved approval notice for I130 and I129F in mail today.
island_princess
Congrats! See? CSC is back on track, but the email system is kinda messed up lately. Perhaps because of too many approvals lately. LOL!

No, incorrect. That phone number is for CSC only. Their phone number is posted above and their email is NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

I contacted them today and they said I have to wait until I get an NOA2. Then call back 2 weeks after that.

If they had forwarded after the approval I might be inclined to agree with you. Instead, it is functionally as if it has not been approved yet. It is just sitting on someone's desk, only it has already been approved and they only have to drop it in the mail. They are reportedly having troubles with their computer systems, so they probably had some sort of glitch with my petition, as well as many others. They very well may think I already HAVE an NOA2. This potentially could take a long time to sort. I hope not!

In any case, if I get the NOA2 tomorrow, my expected arrival date is now pushed back into September. I hate to sound pessimistic, but I don't see the use in calling something its not.... (that doesn't help me in Thailand very much! tongue.gif )

We have a baby and I think it is sufficient evidence for our marriage. It is not fair. God please help us. crying.gif

You should try calling USCIS and talk to a live person. Inquire for a possible RFE. Before, you know it, they will inform you that you are actually approved. It happens a lot lately.

Island Princess, thanks for advise. We will try it too. But I am concerned that we don't have any touches since our NOA 1's. I am so tired of waiting and constantly checking to USCIS cite...

No, you misunderstood. I am not talking about the NVC (the National Visa Center). I'm talking about the NCSC (USCIS National Customer Service Center) whose number is the one you posted. That number isn't just for CSC (California Service Center) but for all Service Centers. That number is more commonly known on VJ as the Customer Misinformation line.

OK - but it was not the same one listed as the NCSC, - I pulled it from the CSC contact information page. In addityion, when I called it, the automated voice system defined it as the CSC in particular, not the NCSC. But, it could be the same customer misinformation line.

Whenn I actually get an NOA2, I will change my timeline. Untill then, I am still waiting. My petition has not been moved along, and for all intents and purposes, it has not been approved yet. I still have to wait for it to get transfered, and the 2 weeks @ the NV and another week for it to get emailed to BKK.

I am in the same boat. Our baby doesn't have a mom until the visa goes through. Babies invoke some pretty stong emotions... you try to protect them and give them the best you can, and having a mom is part of that.

You should call - the touches don't mean everything, and their computer systems are messing up left and right. It certainly won't hurt to call!

I got another touch on both of my petitions today, but still no approval.

Where is the CSC contact information page? Is there one for VSC? The number you listed is for the main customer service line. When I call them, they never mention CSC.

That is what I would like to know myself. I thought they were faster than CSC, but apparently CSC is faster nowadays.
novotul
vikasp,
I'm another person who called asking about a possible RFE and found out instead that my cases were approved. I also still don't have my NOA2s and USCIS hasn't updated that status of my cases online. But I'm confident that I'm approved.

As I waded through the phone tree provided by the 800 number on my NOA1 (i.e., the USCIS Misinformation Line) it had me, at one point, input my Receipt Number. Awhile after I did that, the computer identified itself as CSC. I bet if I put in a Receipt Number generated by VSC, it would have identified itself as VSC. Awhile after that, I got a human being to talk with. And the operator I got, I'm pretty sure, was at CSC.

I've called too. Spoke to a real person -- still pending. Then they give me the "October 2006" is the current date spiel. I would be terribly heart-broken right now if I hadn't made plans to go visit my wife in August.

Basing from stat, I conclude that CSC is faster than VSC in processing K-3's.

Am I right?
