Well, I only make $26,000 a year. I have our daughter too, so my question is do I go by 3 people (like he was hypothetically here) or by 2 (my daughter and I). Is it enough?

125% of poverty line $21,463 (where you need to be)
So, yes. You're more than okay for a family of 3.
