Hi All,

I received my K-3 Packet a couple of days back.
It contains a letter with a check list and interview date. It also contains 2 copies of DS156, 1 copy of DS157 and 1 copy of DS230 Part 1.

Is it packet 3? do i have to return it to embassy to get packet 4? it doesnt say anything about returning it to embassy. It says i have to appear for the interview on 15th of may and bring .. check list... with me.

Also Part 1 of DS230 says at its bottom Page 1 of 4 and then page 2 of 4. I cant find page 3 and 4? is there something wrong with it?

Pages 3 and 4 of the DS 230 are part two. They only sent you part one because they only want part one at this time. Part two is used at interview for CR/IR or at AOS interview for K visas.

I don't know the specific procedures used in Islamabad but your description does not sound correct for other stations. Generally, you would return the checklist indicating you have assembled the forms it mentions along with the specific visa applications they want returned. Later you would receive Packet 4 with an interview date. Perhaps they are now doing some sort of pre-interview.

Other VJs have confirmed that in Pakistan, they will directly send the documents and interview letter and will ask you to bring everything with you.
Pre-Interview thing may not be true, cuz this is the only interview almost all the people have had.

I am also applying for my wife and saw that you almost have the same time line but I received my NOA2 on 2nd of April but saw on your time line that you even have the dates for the following:
NVC Received : 2007-03-05
NVC Left : 2007-03-06
Consulate Received : 2007-03-12

Do mind I ask how you got this informtion and how I can optain it as well?

Any help will be greatly appreciated
