Its going to be another busy week at the CSC!!!! I'm praying for everyone!

I just called and spoke to someone at CSC. He was a very cool person and we even chit chatted about some non-business stuff. Anyways, he said "my case was assigned and was physically on an officers desk" and that I should hear something this week or so.

That gave me a tidbit of hope!

Woohoo!!! We got a touch today!!
Now it's time to hope for no RFE's and a straight out approval.

One thing I forgot to mention... When he was checking my status, he mentioned that they are currently processing cases BEFORE April 13th. I don't know how that applies to some people but maybe it provides some insight....

I saw all these other touches, so I had to go look, and...we've been touched!!! Wooohooo!!!

I wouldn't lie to ya! But don't shoot the messenger! hehehe Seriously though, that is what he said. He may have just made that date up because he was looking at my info and picked a date a few days after mine.

One thing I am learning from reading all the posts here and doing things on my own trying to get info and speed the process up... They have the case, they are working on it, they'll get it done when they get it done. But cheer up, things will happen soon!!

FYI all, my status updated today to approved. Even though my NOA2 was on 8/2, I just got the CRIS email today. The status said my notice was sent on Friday. So, it took one day to show the touch for approval and for the NOA2 hardcopy, and 2-3 business days to get notice of approval. So had I not called I would have found out about a Thursday approval on Monday afternoon.

Well, Mel won't be able to call until she gets here next week. Her stint of service ends this month so she disconnected both the phone and internet. So unless the site gets updated, we won't be able to find out anything until next week.

WOW There is so much talk of being touched that if I didn't know what forum I was on I might think something deviant was afoot.

NOA2!!! I just recieved an e-mail from CRIS that our case was approved on 08/03!!! It is interesting that I called on 08/03 morning using RFE trick and was told that our case was not assigned to an officer yet; and today found out it was approved on 08/03!!! Hope everyone else will be approved really soon!

Wow. I was busy looking the other way for once and when I looked back there it was. At some point today our status changed to approved on the site, and I received an email from CRIS. Our NOA2 was issued on 8/3. I think I'm in shock b/c I don't know what to say. I'll be sending good approval vibes to all our fellow April filers, and everyone else who has to go through this in the future! What a ride - and that's only to get to the 2nd step!
I'll write again after it finally soaks in that it really happened.

CSC is finally getting everyone approved and that makes me feel a lot of relief.


It is a little bit ridiculous though- that people who filed a week before me (and many others who still have yet to be approved) got approved a month or MORE before me. I really hope that the new system they implement takes care of ridiculous delays like this so that future filers won't have to deal with the additional heartache that the delays cause.

I'd like to start by congratulating those who have gotten touches and getting approvals. Those who got touched, I'm pretty positive that you should expect an approval this week. For some reason, I've slowly lost my excitement about getting my approval this week.

Everyday, the hurt piles up. I can't forgive myself for putting the person that I love the most in this situation when I can just easily go home and stay in the Philippines with her. I mean, I'm the one who left her anyway in the first place because I am a citizen of this SO CALLED GREAT NATION. I mean it is, but again nothing is perfect in this world. There were plenty of times that she has cried over the phone because of loneliness and longingness for each other and I am completely running out of words to say to her. She would always get the reply, IT WILL COME SOON..though I know I'm just lying to her and to myself. The waiting is so unbearable especially when there is nothing you can do and so helpless. I don't want her to suffer and be in a position where she is so unhappy due to the situation. I want the person I love to be happy because that is what she deserves. But I feel like I am weak and can't do anything for her. Text messages, calls, emails.. she deserves more than these. I know that she knows how much I love her.. God knows I do.. Lord, you know our hearts desire. I leave this to You for this is not in my control, for with You NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. I will just be waiting, but to trust You with everything in my life. I know You have a reason why it is taking this long, but I know You are reserving a beautiful plan more than what I am expecting.

Well finally!! NOA-2 dated August 6 - 118 days from the first notice date.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!! WE ARE APPROVED!!!!! *mixed emotions*

Still in shock right now as my fiancé just informed me that he received the approval letter today. I didn't receive any email or status update. I kept checking for the past days after the touches but nothing! arghhh but whew!!!! after almost 120 days of waiting, it's here!!!

So to all the april filers getting touched and still waiting, the approval is just a matter of days now! Keep the faith alive!!!!

I immediately sent another late night text to my girly after thanking God a number of times... then i had to tell someone but everyone else in the world is sleeping at 3am so i dropped a text bomb on a few of my closest friends. man TOMORROW IS GOING TO BE A GREAT DAY!!!

OH AND I"M CONFUSED... when i read the approval i had a huge grin on my face but tears in my eyes.... WTF ARE THESE EMOTIONS!!>??!?!? hehe.

I was so nervous, for three reasons.
1. Our age difference
2. I was born in Newfoundland, at US Naval Station, Argentia, but all I had was my US passport.
