Did you call just the USCIS or did you use the RFE trick to get to the CSC? just calling the USCIS shouldn't result in a touch. at least it never has for me. But calling the CSC through the RFE prompts normally does.

skyblue06, you should by right get touched on that very day itself, but yeah, I've seen people who have not gotten touched at all, and they get their approvals anyway. So, seeing that it's the govt we're dealing with, I wouldn't be too worried about it.

Congrats to all the latest April approvals. Rambaldi, I never had one touch through the whole CSC process but then I never called them. I started calling NVC about 2 weeks after NOA2, every other day until they sent to consulate.

I think just USCIS....he will try to use the RFE trick tomorrow, by the way Congratulations....

Tom, you're so very lucky!! Looking at your signature, it looks like QQ will get her visa very soon. So the K1 process is indeed quite short for you guys!

We have the same timeline, our NOA1 was dated April 9th. And we haven't received our NOA2 yet either. I wonder if we are the only couples with the same timeline who haven't

Our NOA1 is the same, so is Eka & Pyrrhic's. None of us have them yet. But I was told my case was assigned on the 19th so hopefully all of us have at least been assigned by now.

Yes, we do feel lucky, seemed like a real slowdown at CSC after our NOA2. I was thinking the same thing about you...only 5 days behind us for NOA1 (though I was NSC & your are TSC) and you still without NOA2, sad really. Should be soon for you...and the good news is after that things seem to move pretty fast compared to the CSC wait. Here's an update on our progress....
Justin called NVC on the 19th and they said they received our application on the 18th
Today he got the hard copy of the letter from NVC saying they received and approved our application, and will be forwarding it to the US consulate in BA in 5 days...
(so doing the math with the date the notice was sent...)our applications should be on it's way to BA very soon (either today or tomorrow)
I'll ask Justin to call tomorrow and find out for sure

In the meantime...I'm starting to put together the evidence for our interview, I'm going to ask for the police certificate on monday and...and... I'm so excited!
Justin already has all his share of papers ready for the interview (affidavit, tax returns and pay stubs...)
So here we are...We are getting closer!!!

Future hubby called doin RFE trick on friday after seeing wioombeen called and found out they had been assigned.
He found out from the call that we had been assigned to an officer on the wednesday.

He called again on Monday but spoke to the indian lady and didnt really understand what she was telling him, so was none the wiser. He called back 2 moro times but got the same woman!!!! what are the chnces of that lol So just hung up lol.

Got touched on the monday and tuesday due to fonecall, i noticed a touch yesterday and he called and found out we been approved, but didnt tell me till late last night lol!!! i had been checkin online all day and my emails and didnt get anything.

Then wen woke up this morning there was a lovely email from CRIS stating approval notice sent and the online status has been updated!!

Looks like they are getting the approval notices and updates sorted finally.

Think if you called you may find out you been assigned to an officer too.

No, you are definitely not the only 2 couples! Our NOA 1 date is April 9th and I'm going out of my head here!!! No touches, no nothing. I wonder if I should be calling? I don't want to annoy anyone but I also don't want to sit on my arse and not do anything and just let our petition fall to the bottom of the heap b/c I'm not being a squeaky wheel. I just did fill in my timeline and I noticed there was no option for dates for the I-129F, only the I 130. So, not knowing what else to do, I filled in my dates under that heading.
I have 2 dates on my I-797 NOA1. The first is the Received date of April 5th, the second is the Notice Date of April 9th. So I've been referring to the 9th as my NOA1 date. Is this correct?

It's weird you know the first time I tried to fill in our timeline, I got that same thing you encountered too! Just exit the current browser you're in, log back on to VJ, and try to edit your timeline again. It should work this time round. And yes, it should be your notice date.

Another touch today! (Because of the phone call I made) Where's my NOA2?!?!

everyday I hear "so have you heard anything on his visa yet?" "when is he going to be here?" what do you say to these people? same story everyday.. nothing yet... coming up on day 94 since NOA1 and almost 6 months since I have even seen him...
the black hole is getting bigger and is about to swallow me up in it....

My answer is always the same, "We're dependent on the Feds, so you now what that means."

I'm in the same boat, called yesterday, touches yesterday and today. We can only hope it's not due exclusively to our phonecalls. This process is ridiculous...

I've just rang up...lol... They've said there's been no action taken as yet on my case...But..I got the typical "we are working on cases that were received in January speech...that mine will be looked over within 3 months or less". Of course I didn't say anything about me being on visa journey...and knowing that they are processing the end of March/begininng of April!! lol

Same thing reasons they told to my fiance when he called them, processing January cases blah blah blah ....April is not a lucky month

This question gets asked of me so often I should just print up cards with the answer and a short overview of the visa process. And I feel you on the wait. I am about to hit day 105. I've had one touch, from the RFE trick, and the phone was very unpleasant.

Looks like we're in the same boat. nearly 4 months since i've seen her. Hopfully we'll both get ours in the next couple weeks?

I just did a timeline search, and it seems like there are only 2 approvals this week! 1 for a Feb filer (coz of RFE) and the other was for our fellow April filer samwatts.......

Aww....come on now CSC, it has been more than 100 days for me! And I haven't even gotten a legit touch yet.......I'm ready to burst into tears now.......

I can't beleive how crappy this week has been. Especially after last weeks phenomenal turn out. The only thing I can possibly say at this point is there has to be a huge torrent of approvals by next.


Providing I did my search correctly and that everyone who has been approved has updated their time line then only 23 out of 125 April filers have been approved so far.

I am still astounded that some people who have called the CSC have been told they are not allowed to call for another month. It's as if they are punishing us for complaining to them for their poor performance. It just seems that they should really be held accountable for how they perform. I wish i was able to run a business and give myself a 6 month escape clause on my performance HAHA.

Things are getting so crazy now and rightly so. There is nothing I or anyone can do at this point to ease your insanity. Only a NOA2 can do that hehe. One thing that I can tell you though is soon your waiting will be over, even though I am sure each day will feel like a million years. In the end when you look back on all this it will not seem so bad. I did my best to stay positive and so must you. I love the April filers and I watch this thread every day to see who will be next. The one thing aside from my SO that helped me get past the insanity of waiting is all of you. And all of us will be here together until we are all approved, until we all have our interviews, to congratulate each other on our weddings and possibly to give a BIG Congrats to those of us who spontaneously multiply (cause that's how babies are made right? haha)

So take some kind of solace in the fact that we are all in this together and we will see all of us make it though. And above all make sure you remember the face of the one your going though this for. I know when I was feeling stressed out all I had to do is reach out to my better half and she would somehow make it all better. Let's hope and pray all of us can have at least a surprise Christmas or a happy new years this year eh?

And to the CSC:

GET OFF YOUR ARSES AND APPROVE THESE FINE FINE PEOPLE DAGNABIT!!!

That was wonderful and I wholeheartedly agree with you. This entire process is stressful both mentally and emotionally- but the people on this site are really like a wonderful support group and it really does ease the process to have so many wonderful people who are going through the exact same thing to talk with at the end of the day.

As for the people who have been told not to call back. I would ask to speak with their supervisors. You are calling a CUSTOMER SERVICE center. If I was as rude to customers at my job as these people are being in theirs- I would be fired before I could bat an eyelash. Where are the friendly, competant people that USCIS needs?!

I called their support center months ago to find out which Affidavit of Support I needed- and the person I spoke to spit out a form number that DIDN'T EVEN EXIST. (And I've never fully recovered from the confusion... ) So I think this just goes to show that something is rotten in the USCIS.

wioombeen, my dear friend, that was awesome, and if only you're the adjudicator in charge of all our cases at CSC. I'm just so tired of this whole thing, and the only thing I feel like doing now is to hibernate at home and go to sleep. I've been following the progress of Jan, Feb and Mar filers ever since I joined VJ in March, and apparently Jan filers hit a snag whilst waiting for their NOA2s in April/May, due to the increased load of work visas CSC had to process at that time. Feb/Mar filers seem to sail through.

And then came June, which I stupidly thought that my case would have been adjudicated, but no, and so I waited patiently, along with the rest of the April filers, and July soon also came, and will go next week, and MOST OF US still don't have our NOA2s yet!!?!?!? Why? At least for the Jan filers who were delayed, I know that the reason behind it was becoz of the H1B visas, but for us, why?? I know this is not and never the subject of fairness, and I also know a minority who filed in Dec/Jan still waiting for approval, but yeah, I'm so sick and tired that my entire life is put on hold becoz of this process, I can't seem to do nor plan anything!

Took the words out of my mouth. 100% Agreed I don't even know if I can be really super excited happy when I finally get the NOA2... I am just so sick of this whole process... Thank God for him.. I have already told him, he is the only person in the world I would go through this for... and never again.. hehe

I've just read in the May filings that someone there has gotten their NOA2 already! ((insert kicking and pounding on floor emoticon here)) Where the heck is the rest of ours?????

It's VSC, which should really have their own K-1 progress forum. There are 3 non-VSC May filers with NOA2's according to the immigration timelines. One sent the app in January, one on March 1st, and one received expedited processing. Don't worry, they haven't skipped us.

I know...I just wanted to complain...lol

I am with you there, I would only subject my worst enemies to this process...

let's hope and pray that next week will be a great week.. fees will increase july 30 so by next week let's hope there will be a lot of NOA2 postings here.. because the increase of fees..this is just my opinion.. they will get lesser applications on other types of visas.. because the fact is some will be discouraged due to the high fee to file.. or some will file because of desperation.. but will see how fast they can processed this cases after the increase of fees.. after all the return for having to increase the fees should be A CUT DOWN ON THE WAITING TIME..

it would be so so so so very very very unfair if the waiting time will not speed up..for example.. on average fiance visas take about 6-7 months.. then it should be cut down to 4-5 months..

The most frustrating part to me is knowing that had I filed just one month earlier, I'd have gotten an NOA2 around day 85 or 90. I must be around 105 right now.

My fiance called 2 times yesterday, got touched too but we're touch again today.......is this normal? I assume its a valid touch?

I love how everytime I check my time line my date gets pushed back 3 days. Wonderful.

Ah, I usually get them on the CSC part. And just when they're like "OMG, that's terrible", I explain that's the short part of our journey. Montreal is truly a beacon of disappointment in an already dismal process.

But I try to stay positive. I have a friend who immigrated here from Russia, and it took her and her husband 7 years to get their green card. Neither of them were USC, but compared to her horror stories, I figure it could be much worse.

You know, that's what I really thought too. Even the late March filers fared better than us. I wonder what happened?!?!? Is this just bad timing for us April filers??! Aww I'm on my 108 days already...

Well, we got some great news today, I checked the USCIS site and it said we were approved and our Notice was sent out yesterday, July 26. Of course we are very very excited, Just wanted to come by, update our time line and post here to reassure others to hang in there. We shared the same date as many of you. So you all should be next.

I must also say, i only called once using the RFE trick, it was a week ago today and the lady said our case was on route to a case worker. It hadn't been assigned yet but she said, it was "on route". We never got a single touch, not even when i made the call, none whatsoever and today it just said it was approved and sent to us. So do not worry if you dn't get any touches.

Totally legit - we haven't called or emailed the service centers, so it means someone is alive down there and looking over our case.

I hate that. What's the worst part- is that the regular customers at my store know my situation- so EVERY TIME one of them comes in to shop they are like "So any news on the Visa?! :]" And I'm like "No... " Although, it does make me feel really happy when they start to complain about how ridiculous it is that people just walk in illegally and all of the "poor, innocent, and wonderful people" who want to do it the right way are put through the gauntlet.
