here another april filer. we never got a NOA1 so we called and they told us all was fine and they would send a message to the CSC to send us the notice. well that was a few weeks ago... no touches, no NOA1, but a case number. WRAAAAAHHRRG!!! mad.gif
so frustrating to work on the petition for so long, send the money and then ... nothing. give us something! anything! but im so happy to see some april filers getting approved, maybe its picked up again.

Goos Luck to all! Im hoping on some more approvals next week!

That was about a week ago. I am now thinking that is why I have received my touches. I called today and the man said nobody has been assigned to my case yet. of course he tried to give me the "we are only working on January petitions." line, and I always love that one haha. I asked him if you are only working on JAN petitions then why have at least 80+% of JAN,FEB, and March filers already been approved? as well as some April filers. haha he had no answer. only said he has to go by the date given him there. hahha. OH well. back to waiting. haha.

wioombeen

Aww your case has not been assigned yet?? Awww awww awww sad.gif cray5ol.gif

I've seen the letter you posted here btw, good.gif good job!

I'm thinking, if we don't get approved this week, my fiance said he's gonna look into asking for help from his Congressman. This is getting to be a bit too much. Feb and March filers all got approvals pretty quick, but for April filers, it's like our petitions are in a hole or something. It has been more than 100 days for quite a few of us here.... geez....

Really, what the heck is CSC doing?? dry.gif

Again I want to reiterate, I HATE THOSE MF"N SPAM EMAILS WITH THE WORD APPROVAL IN THEM.

I have my yahoo messenger always on so when I get an email it pops up a little message tab on the lower right of my screen. Like 10 times now I have received an email that says APPROVAL in title and it always makes my heart skip.

Especially the ones that are from a credit card company, so they say "YOUR VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED" GAH

Chapter 37 - The case of the phantom touches.

Ok, so I Called CSC again today and spoke with a amazingly kind woman. I told her I have had two touches one Mon and another on Tuesday but had not heard anything since. She said "There has been no action taken on your case yet."

Refusing to let this all so familiar dissapointment slow me down I asked, "Hmmmm, these touches are kind screwy things, are they not?" She laughed.

I continued, "But regardless, my petition has been touched, so I am assuming it has been given to a case worker?"

she said "Let me check." I can hear a choir of keys clicking and clacking in my brain as my future happiness is accessed via her keyboard. Then she says these sweet sweet words "Yes, It was assigned yesterday."

I the calmly asked "So, what is it now 10 cases per bucket."

She laughs again and asks, "Have you worked here before? You seem to know an a lot about how things work around here." And followed that each officer receives about three buckets with about ten petitions to each bucket."

I said "Nope, I have not worked there, Just been waiting about 104 days now. Thats a lot of time to learn how things work. haha"

So, Rambaldi my friend, I have been assigned to a case worker. Perhaps you have been too. How long now until I can become approved? It all depends on what bucket I am in i guess. So we wait longer, but at least we know some of the grease from someones Kentucky Fried Chicken/Burger king has dripped onto the gears over there.

Join us next week for chapter 38 - Attack of the NOA2 announcements.

Clever post, I like the SW titles. If it takes much longer I have a feeling that Chapter 39 will be Revenge of the Petitioners...

Thank you for the compliment. And OMG, I know the compulsion. If I could have a nickel for every time I hit refresh on this forum and my USCIS portfolio page....well lets just say I would have the worlds largest collection of nickels.

It is usually slow at my work in the morning so I am glued to my laptop all morning. SAAADDD I KNNOOOWWWW, But it's what we do. I wonder If I can sue USICS for giving me eye cancer or Carpal Tunnel syndrome. Any seedy lawyers in the house?

I'm glad to hear you are in a bucket. I hope I'm in a bucket too? Wonder if they put CSC/TSC/NSC together or if they are processed by different adjudicators in different parts of the CSC building?

This thread is my lifeline, now that I can't compulsively check my time line anymore since the "approval" date has already passed. =( Can't help but check in hopes that a familiar poster will receive an approval.

My fiance and I were discussing calling sometime next week if there is no news today. Not sure that I care to endure those false touches that would result though. For the record, searching "RFE trick" caused a whole lot of frustration for me last night and I can understand why the question is asked on a near daily basis on VJ. Not so easy to actually find a clear, step-by-step explanation of it, even though it is referred to often enough. If anyone has a link and can post it without a "read the guides" emoticon, I'd be a happy camper.

Also, this is a long shot, but what are the chances that petitions that weren't processed before some arbitrary cut off at CSC will be sent to VSC, if that is where they would be handled under the new rules? Anyone heard mention of that sort of thing? Keep on dreading that after the petition went from TSC to CSC that they will turn around and ship it to VSC, since petitioners from NC will now be processed there instead!

This long wait allows too much time to contemplate such things.

Really hoping to see a burst of approvals before they close up shop for the week. *sigh*

Eka, I know how you feel, I hope you get assigned already too. Well, in my opinion, I think they just put all the CSC/TSC/NSC petitions together, since once they arrive at the CSC, they become part of the big CSC family....

Oh well, CSC is now done working for this week now, so let's all hope that they approve all of us next week. It really has been a long wait for April filers.... mad.gif dry.gif sad.gif

That is not necessarily true since Isn't TSC transfered to CSC as well? So some of those CSC'ers could be TSC'ers.

Side note: today in the mial I received 2 NOA1's One dated Monday 16th and the other dates Tuesday 17th. Weird? I wonder if this was a result of the Receipt problems they have had. HMMMM.

Yar, I think there is some misunderstanding too from people who list CSC instead of TSC in their time lines, knowing that their petition will be transferred. I was always under the impression that we're supposed to use NSC/TSC because cases are processed in the order they are received at their first stop, rather than at CSC. *boggle* Who knows though, there is so much misinformation floating around.

Anyways ... next week - many NOA2s! Have to make their quota for the month, right? biggrin.gif

Yeah, I don't know about this either. Originally I had CSC listed on my profile, but i kept hearing people say that we should put the place we originally filed at, even tho they all get transferred to CSC. Then I noticed that my processing time was significantly lower when i used NSC as my filing location, so I left it cuz it made me feel better!

That is not necessarily true since Isn't TSC transfered to CSC as well?

I put CSC because I knew our petition was transferred from TSC to CSC. Ive wondered for a while if all the TSC petitions are grouped together though. If anyone knows it would be of great help. good.gif

This has been a running theory for some time now. I still am not sure if they are grouped separately or not, but I have asked people at the main USCIS help line and the CSC about this. They always tell me that all petitions are done in order they are received at the CSC, whether they are a transfer, or a direct CSC filer.

That's what I thought too, once they arrive at the CSC, they just become CSC petitions, regardless of whether they were transferred from other service centers or not. But I put TSC in my timeline just because we sent ours to TSC. Though I think in VJ, whichever service center you put in your timeline does make a difference in your adjudicated date. Perhaps the programming was done when NSC and TSC K1 petitions were not transfered to CSC yet?? unsure.gif

There is a school of thought that says they are still processed separately once they get to CSC, tho I don't know why they would do that...oh yeah, it's a government organization whose goal is to increase the bureaucracy...but, as that owl in the tootsie pop commercial said: the world may never know.

Anyway, wish me luck! I'm taking the bar exam Tuesday and Wednesday! Good thoughts! I'm trying my best to keep the anxiety at bay. Everyone cross their fingers that there's no Federal Taxation question and that civil procedure question is about jurisdiction! Better yet, everyone cross their fingers that all the essay questions are similar to this: "Are horseys pretty? Explain your answer"

PK&NN
Hi everyone. We filed the I-129 in April but I just found this site last night. It is great to share information and encouragement with so many people going through the same thing. We tried and failed twice with a tourist visa last year and with a student visa earlier this year, so we are getting married! We have known each other 7 years and have gotten together 4 times in the last year, so proving a relationship shouldn't be a problem. We filed the I-129F April 23, 2007. We were disappointed to see that they report that they are now only processing applications from last December, but I was very encouraged to see on this site last night that they are already completing some April applications. Ours was sent to the California center.

My hope is that Nichaphat will have her visa in November. Does that sound reasonable? I don't anticipate any problems with police, medical, etc. Thanks for any guidance or encouragement!

Hi there PK&NN,

Welcome to the April filers thread! Yes, VJ is indeed awesome. Don't worry about the date you see on the USCIS website, it only means that the oldest petition dated they're still working on right now is filed in Dec. As you can see from the many VJer's timelines here, usually a petition filed at CSC takes about 90 days to be approved from the date of the NOA1, though I have waited more than 100 days, and still no NOA2 yet.... sad.gif

If you can fill out your NOA1 date in your timeline, that'd help us all out. Thank you! smile.gif happy.gif

we send our petition at TSC but was shocked in the received letter they said they will process our petition at the CSC.i dunno why they transfered.kind of confusing too, on USCIS site I-129F's are only processed at Vermont and California...

Good luck on your exam, Quinn, and fingers crossed for all the April filers still waiting on NOA2s - this has to be our week!

Welcome to VJ, the awesome place for plenty of support and useful info...

you can ask your questions in a main board and will surely receive answers from the people here. but if something is specific to Thailand, you may want to go to a thread specifical to Thailand called "Sawasdee 2."

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...dee&st=2025

that link will lead you to the last page of the thread.

Good luck. rose.gif

Happy Monday my fellow April filers. If CSC stays on the same pace as last week, we should get to NOA1's up to 4/12 or so this week. Almost all filers up to 4/6 have been approved, so here's hoping that this is the week for us early-mid month filers. I done my best not to think about it or get excited since CSC put on the brakes last month, but last weeks performance from CSC was encouraging. Please CSC, try to continue and accomplish at least the bare minimum...I'd like to take my life off standby.
