Got a touch today, first since April 13th. I did call in, but I've done that before and received no touch, plus I'm fairly certain they are not generated by just pulling the case up on the computer, only by actually touching / scanning the file itself. Let's hope this is a good sign for all of us.
I may have gotten excited too soon. I called CSC again and was told that my case hadn't been assigned to someone yet and that the touch was generated by my call. It seems to be confirmed after I got another touch after today's call. So back to waiting...this sucks. I'm so tired of this process, CSC has gone from processing many cases in 75-80 days just a month or so ago, to where
NOT ONE CSC April filer, who sent the petition in April, has gotten thier NOA2 three months later.
Over the past few weeks, CSC has increased their processing times by a few weeks, how is this possible? If you look at the immigration timelines section and sort to just CSC, then by NOA2 date, you will find the first few pages that the span on the page is 6-7 days of NOA2's. If you go back a month or so you find it to be 1-3 days per page, with multiple approvals happening daily. I just don't get it...
Coupled with NVC coming to a grinding halt over the past weeks and my embassy changing from an 18 day interview leadtime to 36 today, I couldn't be happier...So much for the idea she might be here during the summer. I love our country, but as a citizen I find this process unreasonably lengthy and inefficient. I couldn't be more dissapointed that my government is keeping me apart from my love for an undetermined and lengthy period of time, when clearly an entire petition could be adjudicated in one day if done efficiently.
Ok, I'm done ranting, but clearly this process is wearing on me.
