Indeed the woman i talked to at the NVC told me herself that your case will never show up on the automated system. So you have to press 1 then 5 to talk to a real person. if its busy that day you will have a hard time getting though but if your persistent and call over and over you will finally prevail. GL

Hi guys.. I would like to ask what STEPS I NEED TO TAKE AFTER GETTING THE NOA2. I do not have it yet, but I want to be ready already once I get it. Thank you.

I got touched today I hope this is something good and not due because of them receiving my RFE yesterday. Thank you.

My fiancee had her interview today and was approved...gets to pick up visa next Thursday.

I'll post more in the future at this site below where it seems April filers have migrated after NOA2.

Whaaaaaaaat, I thought it was press 1 then 2?? That's what I've been doing. The menu said 2 is for K1 people. Is it more reliable to choose 5?

I'm still being told our case hasn't been received and I'm at the point of tears. If our petition has been sitting in a mailroom for a month after waiting FOUR for it to be approved thats an outrage!

I even spoke with someone (by pressing 1 then 2) yesterday and when I told him when we had been approved he started to say the "well it takes 2 to four weeks" and then faltered and said, "well, you should actually be here by now... but it could take 90 days..." he sounded kind of shocked that it was taking so long.

Hi everyone,
Received my NOA2 "Hard Copy" via snail mail today. It specifically states that "we have sent the original visa petition to the Department of State National Visa Center (NVC).
My question is.........is this a typical NOA2 letter?..........do they all state the above text??. My guess is that this is a standard form letter, and does not necessarily mean the file has been "Sent" or mailed to NVC.
Got the approval via RFE trick phone call (no status or profile updates on their website).
The customer rep. said it was approved on the 20th of Aug. And now i have the hard copy to confirm this info.
Obviously, I'm curious if i can relax now and assume (based on the above letter) that my file is now in transit to NVC.?

FINALLY!! My fiance just called NVC and after 5 tries, they told him that our case has been sent to the Singapore consulate yesterday!!! FINALLY!! YAY!!

Does that mean NVC has received our case last week? Oh well, my fiance, after getting the answer he wanted, didn't even bother to ask, and also didn't ask about our new embassy case number!!! gee...

Will the new case number be on the hard copy of the NVC letter?

Nevertheless....I'm so happy right now!!

Today is labor day so I guess there will be no approvals since they are off. I hope this week will be our week. I thought that once USCIS has resumed your case after getting the RFE, it will only take a week or two to get the NOA2. Can anyone confirm this to me? Thanks.

Hey there!
I'm still here as well... still with no NOA2 official papers though!!! I emailed California and recieved a reply stating that it can take 30 days (ish) to recieve them so to contact them again after that time if we still haven't got it. That will take us to the beginning of next week I think so will start harrassing them then lol
We did however get the notice of NVC recieving our application dated the 23rd August so at least things are moving along still lol

Hello kits_24_faith actually didn't update forum signature but I updated my timeline. NVC received our packet Aug.30 and left Sept 4. I got my schedule for medical and interview. DeeZee and I are having the same schedule.

Medical - Oct 30

Embassy - Nov 7

I'm hoping to have yours so soon....

I got my packet 3 last week from London!!! I was so chuffed to get something with the US stamp on it lol
